This exciting update to the gel-super j33 continues to deliver a super lightweight ride, with fluid axis adjusted to the specific needs and foot geometry of mild to moderate over pronators. The new minimally constructed upper features breathable mesh and lightweight seamless overlays, perfect for a barely-there natural running experience. In 1949, Mr. Kihachiro Onitsuka began his athletic footwear company (Onitsuka Co., Ltd.) by manufacturing basketball shoes out of his living room in Kobe, Japan. He chose the name ASICS for his company in 1977, based on a famous Latin phrase "Anima Sana In Corpore Sano," which, when translated, expresses the ancient ideal of "A Sound Mind in a Sound Body." Taking the acronym of this phrase, ASICS was founded on the belief that the best way to create a healthy and happy lifestyle is to promote total health and fitness. Today, ASICS offers a full line of performance-driven athletic shoes and technical active sports apparel and accessories dedicated to bringing harmony to the body and soul.

Excellent Shoes As Usual
I cannot get over how comfortable Asics truly are. Coming from the Adidas and Nike world, I was never truly satisfied with their shoes, but they were the thing to wear in the 90s and 2000s no matter what you did. My feet moved around too much in Adidas and Nike was very rigid with poor insoles, but at least I didn't have a blister from sliding like the Adidas shoe. I bought my first pair of Asics in January 2015-- Gel-Noosa Tri 9s-- and they have been providing excellent comfort and support ever since. They are great walking and running shoes, however, I didn't want to wear them out too quickly and wanted a shoe with the same level of comfort but for everyday things. Yes, yes, yes... these are the ones. They provide wonderful comfort for doing things around the house, casual days at work, and even shopping. They last ALL DAY! Superior comfort. I will be getting this shoe in other available colors. I get compliments on both pairs of my Gel-Noosa Tri 9s all the time, and I had someone ask about these the other day. Thank you for existing, Asics and providing a shoe that is not only comfortable but aesthetically pleasing.

Very tight fit! It might be to unstable for new runners.
This shoe fits very snug. If you have a narrow foot you might do better off with something else. The shoes over all are very firm and give you a good sense of the surface under your feet. Good running shoes, bad walking shoes.

Still my favorite model of running shoe
Great replacement for my worn-out original J33's. Very little break-in needed. The drop feels maybe a little bit more than on my J33's, but that might be more because I'm comparing new J33 2's to my old J33's with insoles that are completely worn out. As with the J33, they are super lightweight and have lots of ventilation for my normally sweaty feet and a nice cushion no matter how I run with them, including flat runs as well as lots of SF hills. As a comparison, for me, GT-2000's feel like my feet are stuck in concrete blocks and I'm pounding pavement with every step. The J33's are amazing.

Too Narrow / Not for Wider Feet
Great looking shoe but not for someone with a wider foot. Too narrow to fit for me.Have to return. Have to return.

Flat feet? No problem.
These shoes saved my life! I have very flat feet with almost no arch. Every running shoe forces you to have an arch which would make me feet hurt really bad after a run, or he'll even a walk. These do not force your feet to be something they arent. If you have flat feet and like to run like myself, these are the perfect running shoes for you!

It has a nice feel and cushion for my flat feet
It has a nice feel and cushion for my flat feet. It's the lightest shoe that I got so far. It gets hot on the feet easy though. I got it for a bargain price and it is worth more than what I paid for.

Not great for me.
These shoes fit perfectly. They were extremely comfortable and flexible, but only as a lounging around the house or office. These shoes have very little arch support, and as a distance runner I need arch support. If you have VERY strong arches these shoes are the right shoe, and possibly as a stand in training shoe these would work. I feel, however, they are not supportive enough for a good distance run. I love Asics and feel as if this shoe is made for those who have a different type of foot. My only concern is the arch support.

Asics are AWESOME!
Love these. Comfortable, look good and good all day wear! The only shoe I wear now are Asics. When I was a bigger dude my feet hurt with anything else. I've put a lot of miles on these and many more with my previous Asics. Good brand all around in my opinion!
