I have never been disappointed by any of the several Accusize tools I have brought. This vice checks out within .0002" when measured on my surface plate. The fit & finish are excellent. I do not use cooling liquid so I do not need the trough other mill vises offer. I have this vise mounted on my "Little Machine Shop" brand 3990 Hi Torque Mill. This vice outperforms all it's advertised features

Smooth vise. Keep it clean and oil when necessary.

Good quality stuff how ever i am a little disappointed i ordered a brand new one and it looks like they gave me a used one. The hex bolt on the vice is messed up a bit and looks like some body took a torch to it. Haven’t mounted it yet to check the vice jaws with an indicator but i will be to make sure it hasn’t been dropped or something. Otherwise looks good besides the fact it looks used when I purchased a new one.

I use this vice all the time for my Bridgeport Mill. I use my mill for hobby use, so I can’t say if it’s perfect, but certainly great for my use.

From a distance, the vise looks promising—but up close, it tells a different story. It arrived coated in rust preventative and sealed in a plastic bag, but closer inspection revealed that no effort was made to clean it before packaging. The entire unit had to be completely disassembled and cleaned due to abrasive grinding dust left behind, indicating that final grinding was done while the vise was fully assembled. Neither the body nor the jaws appear to be hardened. A simple hand file easily cuts into all the sharp edges left from grinding, which should not be the case with properly hardened components. The floating jaw on my unit was sitting unevenly due to a large burr and several dings on its underside. Additionally, the jaw screw was extremely rough. If I had a lathe, I would likely remake the shaft entirely. The internal threads that mate with the jaw screw also seem poorly executed—the minor diameter of the female threads is oversized, making them appear quite shallow. While I doubt they would strip under normal use (especially for a 4" vise), the sloppy threading and general lack of refinement suggest poor quality control. For a tool priced near $300, I expected much better attention to detail. While the vise may function adequately after extensive cleanup, it should not require this level of rework right out of the box.
