Useful for science too!
These little guys are inexpensive and great! I use them for making scale readings for home experiments. In that respect they are a little large for my home scales, but I didn't make any measurements to ensure a good fit, so that's my fault. They're quite thin, which is useful to me since that means I can shape them more readily for transfer to the experiment.Overall, the price is right and the quality is good!

no problems
Like many of the other reviewers, we used these for a Settlers of Catan party. We taped them to a counter to serve Catan board-colored foods (lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, beef, blue chips) for a make-your-own taco salad buffet. It was pretty fun, did the job well, and I have a ton left over for future parties. No complaints!

Weigh Boats for dye powder
I dye fabric. The guru of reproducible color on fabric, Carol Soderlund, introduced me to weigh boats for accurate weighing of the dye powder. These are large enough to weigh alot of powder, slick enough to not lose any powder and cheap enough that they can be easily discarded if damaged accidentally. They are sturdier than they look, however. Having 100 of them ensures that I can use a fresh boat for each color powder and not contaminate a color by accident during a dye session. You just never know what those little molecules of dye might try to do! lol There are different sizes for any use from production dyeing to the occasional hobbyist. They can easily be used with the tare function of any scale as they are so lightweight. The shape also gives you a "point" to pour from as opposed to a round container. Besides the use in dyeing, I can see where these would also be useful in measuring medications, spices, and anything else you need accuracy to measure. That said, the other most essential item needed is a good quality scale.

Three Stars
These where much larger than expected. Had I known, I would have gotten 1-2 sizes down

Great Snacks of Catan bowls
I did not use them as intended, but they make great Catan themed snack bowls. They were sturdy but also very light. Put them somewhere where they cannot be easily knocked or tipped over.

Very useful
Good disposable trays for weighing. You get a bunch, so it's a good deal. I used one to weigh out 600 grams of sugar, and that was about the max capacity volume wise.

Good for crafting, but you'll only get the right size about 60% of the time
These thin weigh boats are perfect for any sort of craft where you need hex shaped containers. I've ordered three different sizes of them and been happy with all three (though be aware that the larger the boats, the flimsier the plastic.)However, only order one size at a time, and wait a day between orders. If you try to order two sizes, your order will get mixed up. An upsetting amount of the time, I still end up with the wrong size. This is very frustrating if you need the precise size you actually ordered. Make sure to order at least 2 weeks in advance so you'll have time to re-order in case they ship you random sizes. If the distributor could consistently send me what I actually ordered, I'd give these five stars.

We made an amazing "Settlers of Catan" nacho bar using these hexagons
We made an amazing "Settlers of Catan" nacho bar using these hexagons. They are a little flimsy, so we taped them together on the backside. We used pico de gallo (brick), guacamole (wood), shredded cheese (wheat), ground chorizo (ore), and sour cream (sheep). We also had a large crock-pot of queso to pour on the chips too. Perfect night!
