This strainer is perfect for straining fine things, such as herbs. The fabric zips off the metal handle, making cleaning really easy. I am so glad I found this and highly recommend it to anyone who makes their own herbal concoctions at home. It works well, is easy to use, and very durable. I have used it several times. Elderberry stains the fabric, but that is something you would expect, so it doesn't bother me at all. You could use this simply for tea, but I think it is too big for that unless you are making a big batch.

- No country of origin (illegal in the US) All the print on the bag is Taiwanese, the only English on the pkg is "Filter bag" and "New design" (it's not new) I'm not a big fan of the filter bags generally. They're messy and look fairly icky after use. If you're making a large pitcher, though, it's needful to use. This is exactly the same design as those I've bought over the last 20+ yrs. The cloth is nicely thick. Seams are even and well done. The handle is quite sturdy. It's working perfectly for me. Making Thai tea getting all the excess leaves out can be time consuming and difficult … this really helps get the job done quickly and efficiently. I love it! Nice quality, easy to use and good value. For as long as I make Thai tea I will continue to purchase this item.
