This little pump does a great job. We actually used it in our small pool to having moving water and everyone loves it. Mount the solar panel somewhere where you get a lot of sun. There is no battery so it only works when the sun is out.

Pump was great while it worked, but it crapped out after only 4 months. It’s not even running continuously since it’s solar powered. I’ve had aquarium pumps running 24/7 for over 10 years.

This works well for a solar fountain. It will run at a low level on cloudy days. It does not have any significant battery storage as advertised which is the reason I give it 4 stars.It was easy to set up.The filtration is good for a small pond (mine is 10 gallons) that is not very deep. It could also work well as a cute fountain in the shallow end of a deep pond. If you have a lot of plants or algae, you will need to clean the filters at least twice a week so the pump doesn’t clog. Cleaning is easy and takes just a few minutes.

There was a problem with my new pump so I contacted the seller. They were very responsive and sent me a replacement part. I am very thankful for their customer service.And the pump works great now!

I usually love solar powered anything. I use solar power for lights around the yard and the panel charges all day and the lights work at night.I wish I knew when I bought it that the solar panel does not hold any kind of charge so the minute a cloud goes by or you standing in front of the solar panel the fountain stops. My pond is not being filtered overnight or on cloudy days and the pond water got cloudy very quickly. Otherwise it works great when the sun is out. If you live in the northeast where you don’t get a lot of sun, this may not be a good fit.

Does a pretty lousy job as far as any level of filtration goes. As far as the little Fountain options I'm sure they're great if you're putting them in less than 7 in of water otherwise you have to do some creative costly modifications. It is described as running best in full sunlight and not as good on cloudy days but to be accurate it runs fine in full sunlight it doesn't really do anything on cloudy days. I also disagree with the 600 gallons per hour filtration rate as I have it in a 400 gallon garden pond and it's not that complicated too take an empty milk gallon time how long it takes to fill it and then do the math. It was on sale and I wouldn't recommend unless maybe you're using it on a semi deep bird bath but even then I wouldn't expect any reasonable filtration

I got the 70w kit, because I wanted to make sure that I'd get the best flow. So far, so good. It works as described. When it's very sunny and in direct position of the sun the flow is gushing. It even works when the sun is behind the clouds, but as described, the flow is less. Sometimes down to a trickle, but I'm surprised that it's still operating as I see no sign of sun. I'm very happy with it. I'm using it for a small fish pond and it doesn't need to operate at night. It operates enough to keep the pond aerated and clean. I just hope that it lasts.
