Earthborn Elements Diatomaceous Earth (5 Gallon), Resealable Bucket Pure Freshwater Amorphous Silica

We ordered another bucket of this product as it's the only thing that kills the very large (like 2" plus) Mormon crickets that showed up again this year. We spread it all around our home when we are sure there will be no rain in the coming days. It takes about 2-4 days to kill them. We have way fewer crickets this year than last. I would guess the crickets were in the 10s of thousands last year. Maybe they are moving on. But this years they are in the low hundreds and dying quickly. This stuff dehydrates them.

Works well. Perfect size to last a while

We live remotely and I could not live without D.E. Kills any insect with an ectoskeleton! We have wasps, bees, ants, all kinds of beetles, spiders galore. It really makes a difference! I use it in my green ouse. Can't keep it around I use so much of it. I even put it under my dog beds, and my husband works outside in the summer near the forest, so I even put it under our sheets in the spring. Gets ticks, fleas, etc. I have NO bugs in my house Be careful not to breathe it in, nor let your pets breathe it.

We don't want to think about what the chicken coop let alone our poor hens would be like without this great stuff. I use it in a duster to freshen up the coop and get a few of the girls that look like they might need a little help in the dust department. I use it with play sand in their dust bath tire and they really love their bathtime. I have also used it in our garden, and it has kept some pests down that normally overrun the garden by this time of year. It works, it keeps working and our girls are grateful, even if they don't know why.

I am not sure if this helps with mites or not, but my turkey, Giblet aka Gibby, loves this. I mix it with play sand in a kiddie pool and she rolls around it in, having the time of her life.

This stuff is messy, lol. Seems to work ok, had a bad flea infestation, along with some indoor traps, and an outside remedy, this helped get rid of them mostly.

Hard to screw up this stuff, but it is a good deal and all that it says it is. We use it for insect control, sprinkled around flower beds and harmless to kids and pets, and also mix in for dusting our guineas ( birds if you are wondering) as they dust themselves to eliminate mites, and this stuff is totally harmless to them and fatal to annoying little insects. We dump it on their favorite dusting spot and they do the mixing. The lid is a bit tough to remove the first time, but so it is with plastic buckets. Besides, it would not go well to have one of these open in a delivery truck! All in all, we will be buying again when the bucket gets toward empty!
