Satin-Lined, Waterproof Rain Hat

This hat came in so clutch when I went to Disneyland on a day with torrential rain. The brim was the best part because it kept my face dry unlike everyone else in ponchos and other rain gear, and wasn’t as annoying as opening/closing an umbrella all day. It was too convenient. Numerous people stopped me to ask where they could get one. I like that you can tighten it so it felt secure on my head even on rides and putting my hood on & off. Overall it kept me dry so it did what I needed it to do, looked cute and it was completely fuss free. I had it for over a year before I wore it for the first time but it’s definitely worth ordering and having on hand for a rainy day. Tip: if the brim gets deformed or loses its shape, put a blow dryer on it for a few minutes to soften the plastic then reshape it and you’ll be good!

I'm giving it a 3.5 - 4 rating. Here's why: I just received my Hairbrella and it is exactly as described and I am super excited to give it a try of this Memorial Day weekend. I only had one issue upon opening the package: THE HAT WAS DIRTY! Something ORANGE had splashed all over the outside of the BLACK hat!! Thankfully it easily scraped off or I would have returned it. So I will definitely have to wash the hat before I wear it, which I guess one should always do with personal items (underwear, gloves, socks, hats) where possible. Hence the 3.5 rating. As far as quality I give it a 4 only because I'm not so sure the visor will be durable. The materials used are of good quality. The outside of the hat is of the windbreaker jacket material, light, but will keep the rain away. The inside is a really nice satin with a bit of weight to it to add to the moisture protection but not enough to cause your head to overheat and perspire. I have really thick mid-shoulder length hair and it all easily fits up under the hat. I love the fact that it is adjustable so it fits my rather large head with ease!!

I am a mail carrier. I purchased this specifically for rainy days so that I can maintain my hairstyle. I wear locs and have been having a hard time maintaining my retwists while working in yhe rain. Yesterday it rained all day. Steady rain. I retwisted my hair two days prior. I wore this hairbrella along with my Columbia rain gear. I had a hood on as well. Previously, even with the Columbia hood, my hair would be soaked and my hairstyle ruined. Well when I got home yesterday evening, my hair was completely dry! I was so happy. It rained lightly today. A spritzy rain. I started off with nothing on my head for a while so my hair got slightly damp. I decided to put my hairbrella and hood on so as not to accumulate too much moisture. By the end of the day, my hairstyle was still in tact. Slightly damp because of walking freely through the spritz earlier in the day. I know that if I hadn’t done that, it would have been completely dry for a second day. After I got home, I let it air dry and my hair is perfectly fine. I have recommended it to other female carriers at my office.

This hat keeps my natural hair straight when it's blown out and it's humid or rainy outside. Easy to put on and to carry in my purse daily in the event of bad weather. I love it so much I bought one for my sister as a gift. She loves it too!

This is a must have. I was excited to try it out and it worked perfectly. I knew it would rain on my volunteer day and couldn’t wait to use it. Everyone was so jealous! This was fashionable and allowed me to continue working without an umbrella, (I already had a raincoat & boots on). It’s lightweight, well-made, easy to adjust, and wasn’t too hot (April). It was a little tricky to fold back up but, I kept the instructions. When the event was over and the rain stopped, perfect, smooth hair and lunch date ready.

great, waterproof but would fit better if I had a lot of hair. my hair is short so I had a lot of space left in the hat.

It’s perfect in every way. However, the humidity will still get in.

I bought this hat specifically for the clear brim that comes down over my eyes to keep my glasses dry. If you wear glasses you will understand how frustrating it is out in the rain with wet glasses that you can't see through. This hat does exactly what I had hoped for with the added bonus of keeping all my hair dry as well. I have a small head but this hat is very adjustable and fits perfectly. I would recommend this hat for long hair and those that hate wet glasses.
