Pro Gen 4 Adjustable Kip Bar from Pro Model with Stainless Steel Cable Supports Horizontal Bar Gymnastics Equipment

Our 7 year old daughter became interested in gymnastics within the past couple years. She has gotten to the point of loving it and wants to build her strength and abilities. Unfortunately, at home, that meant hanging and swinging on any dangerous thing available. We bought her this gym bar to give her a safe place to practice and she absolutely loves it. It's sturdy and isn't too big. We have it in her room, she can push it into the middle of the room to play on and then pushes it against the wall, out of the way when not in use. I like that it can grow with her for a while. My husband and I have both swung from it and it's been a champ. I recommend the bar!

This bar is great for my 8 year old (she is on the smaller side) to practice her level 3 bar routine. My 10 year old struggles on the back hip circle part because the base moves slightly due to her size. We are going to be trying the stabilization/extension kit and I hope that will help her be able to do her full routine without me having to stand on the edges. We also had a problem with the bar when we first opened the package, but the customer service is great and replaced our bar very quickly. We have been very impressed with the ease and quickness of putting it together.

I searched for months before I made my selection on these horizontal bars. Honestly, the time I spent looking for the perfect bars was a bit ridiculous. I felt based on previous reviews and cost, these bars were my best choice. They were a Christmas gift for my 7 and 4 year old. These bars were packaged nicely and very easy (minutes) to put together. However, you do have to drill holes in the wood bar. The bar is nice and smooth and materials seem well constructed. The bars are solid and sturdy vertically, but move a bit horizontally. They do not seem to move when in use--just when I TRY to push and pull the bar in a horizontal way. This really doesn't make a difference as that's not how the bars are used, just wanted to note it. I am 115 lbs and use the bars as well with absolutely no concern that they cannot hold me. These bars are very nice and I am happy with my purchase.The reason for 4 stars.... The end cap to part #3 was broke off. I would love if Joom beam were to send me a new one and would update to 5 stars then.

First time I’ve been motivated to write a negative review. This product is very poorly constructed. The diameter of the hole that holds the bar in place was inconsistent between the two parts - fit perfectly in on end and did not fit at all in the other end. Had to whittle it to get it partially in and not completely disappoint my daughter Christmas morning. Normally a patient fellow, but have gotten zero response/acknowledgement on my email sent to the list [email protected] website (the [email protected] address on their note to customers about contacting customer supoort is not a valid address). Phone calls to the number they provide go directly to a generic voicemail box. Giving them another day to respond to my attempts to remedy the issue before I return it for a full refund. For $200 it should be better built and how this pass their qa given that it is designed to supoort children is beyond me.

We have to drill a hole for the sides to be put together,We have to put a hole in the bars to place the nuts to hold together.The description said it holds 250 lbs but the paperwork says only 140 or lower.

Fast shipping. Very easy to put together. Took about 10-15 minutes. Low enough for a small two year old to use. Haven't adjusted it higher than the shortest height as it was for two year old to pull up on and hang off of. Sturdy enough to hold 115lbs. My kids love it. Small enough to use inside. I would suggest put something underneath to avoid damaging floor. Also great for outside. I keep ours on the deck. Has been rained on many times. Has not rusted. Overall seems to be of good quality after having for three months.

I bought this for my 9 year old gymnast. The base is way too short, which makes the bar unstable. My 85 pound daughter, doing normal moves, causes the assembly to move like a rocking chair. Expect to attach this product to a plywood base, or secure it with sandbags (the plywood base is not a great idea, because the screws provided are way too long for standard 3/4" plywood). The bar itself is wood and needed sanding along some gouges to prevent splinters. Although there are knobs to adjust the bar height, you still need a wrench to adjust the height because of the set screws.Bottom line: my daughter loves it, but I hate it.Update to my review on April, 2019: The wooden bar is now cracked and requires replacement. Now I really hate it. Furthermore, there is no answer from the seller, PS Newby, after an e-mail and a couple phone calls.

My girls have taken gymnastics on Saturdays for the last four months. We decided to take winter off because of all our busy Saturday obligations, so my oldest, 7 , requested a beam for her 8th birthday. This beam is awesome! Not a day has passed since putting it together that she doesn't spend at least an hour on it. The bottom bolts were hard to screw in, but that made me feel like they were definitely secure. I'm a little nervous that raising the bar to the top might make it more wobbly, but on the second highest height, it is holding up wonderfully. We highly recommend this bar!!
