This tastes just like a root beer but less sugar! The price is great fir the size!

I wish I could have returned this. This root beer syrup was horrible and weak-tasting. Instead of using the 1-2 squirts that Torani syrups usually require, I used around 15 pumps just to get a root beer taste, even then it was awful.

This syrup had a great flavor, but it’s not strong enough. I have to use so much syrup for it to taste like a soda. However, the flavor is lovely and as a weaker flavor tastes a bit like cream soda.

It was made much better when I added 1/2 bottle of Cook's root beer extract. Of course this raises the price way too much. I long for the days of $4 a bottle Zataran's Root Beer Concentrate.

It made the best root beer ice-cream.

As a person who never cared for cola drinks, I've always preferred root beer. This does not taste like root beer to me. It's more like sarsaparilla, but not quite as smooth. It isn't a bad taste. Just not root beer (American-type, anyway). Also, it takes quite a bit of the syrup to give enough flavor to make it worth the while, negating the value of the large bottle. Plus, it takes a lot to give anywhere near the actual color of real root beer. I will not be buying this product in the future.
