Worth persevering.
Seemed very complicated but well worth taking time to master. Once mastered it performs the tasks flawlessly and very quickly. Solid construction and very easy to clean being polished stainless steel. Looks fantastic as well, it harks back to olden times when 'kitchen contraptions' were all the rage.

Everything 5* apart from Julienne blade - such a shame
Thought this was the answer to my prayers. . . tried various different brands and eventually bit the bullet on the cost of this one. Was initially very pleased, it's fabulously sturdy, really is built to last. Played about cutting some simple slices and it was like a knife through butter. Not as easy to clean as some others but I think that helps with it feeling so sturdy so could have definitely lived with that. This afternoon I went to have a play about with the julienne slicers, unfortunately they struggled with carrots and just turned my onion to mush, such a pity. Also, the guard doesn't work with the crinkle blade - so that's rendered useless unless I spend more money on another guard or a glove (I'd have thought for the price you'd be able to use the whole device safely!).Sad to say returning for a refund. So I'm still looking for a replacement for my borner with a stand. . .

It's just the thing I was looking for.
Used it before and know all about it. Great utensil in the kitchen.

Follow the instructions!
Easy to clean, requires practice regarding thickness of slices, game chips etc.Requires some effort when using for julienne/fries.Simple but very effective machine.

Works, but takes a lot of practice.
Does what it says on the tin, but the pusher/guard leaves too big a gap on minimum size meaning quite a bit of waste, or leaving you to finish by hand, which is not to be recommended as the blades are razor sharp, apart from that though it's a nice machine and built to last.
