One of the 4 motors quit after first flight. Useless now. Stay away.

So far I have not been able to fly my drone. When syncing the remote, and then calibrating the Gyros, the drone flips to the left. I adjust the trim but with no success... So Currently I am grounded and my wife is bummed I can’t use the gift. I emailed Holy Stone for guidance.... Waiting for a resolution.Update... They sent me a new Drone for the previous one not working. Needing time to fly it to see if it works. Changing stars based on Customer Service to 3 stars until i can fly it!

The Holy Stone F181G is my first drone so I do not have anything to compare it with. That said, I am very pleased with it. It is easy to control and performs well - if you need a little more power (especially outside), use the speed switch underneath the remote control.Being my first drone, it has suffered from multiple crashes because of my mistakes (sorry F181G). It has held together very well - the only parts I have had to replace are the small motor wheels (gears). After a couple weeks, I have yet to break a propeller, motor, guard, or anything else.My only gripe (-1 star) is the live video; although it is rated for 300+ feet the video gets fuzzy at less than 100 feet if there are obstructions between the controller and the drone. For example, I cannot reliably fly the drone via camera in my backyard if I am sitting inside. Not a big deal since I should be maintaining line of site anyway, but I figure it is worth mentioning.Overall, I feel this drone is a great value and recommend it. Holy Stone customer service is phenomenal as well - it is hard to find that level of support and commitment to customer satisfaction today, but Holy Stone does it!

This is my first drone. My sister gave it to me for Christmas and all I can say is it is super fun! It took practice getting the trim down but after 3 days it was very easy and intuitive. The drone is very responsive and the video transmits in real time perfectly. Calibrating the gyroscope is incredibly easy and the drone is quite durable. I crashed a few times getting used to the trim and it never hurt the drone. I also received the VR headset as a gift and was trying them out on the 4rth day when the drone unexpectedly took off and wouldn’t stop. My sister was using the headset while I was flying it (figured it was safer to keep my eyes on the drone). I tried to shut the engines off but it just kept on going and I was never able to find where it flew off to. Which brings us to customer service. Hands down the nicest and easiest company I have ever dealt with. I told them what happened and they sent me a replacement drone. I will write another review on the VR headset once I get the replacement and have a chance to use it myself. I cannot stress enough on the ease of controls and fun I had flying it for those three days! The battery lasted on average 10 minutes ( on full speed). The lcd screen lasted typically through 3 batteries ( a little over 1/2 hour) before needing charged. Overall I am extremely impressed with the drone and the company. I don’t know what caused the drone to fly away but am looking forward to trying out the new one! If you are having any question about purchasing this drone just do it- you won’t regret it!!

The motors in this quad copter are junk if they contact anything they burn out immediately. In my opinion you’re better off spending $50 more and getting a competitors drone with a brushless motor. I tried to give this a zero star rating but it wouldn’t allow me.

I have been in the RC world for awhile with higher end helicopters and trucks so my sites were set fairly high as I looked to enter into the FPV world. I stumbled across this line and took an interest, after a mention I actually received the F181G as a gift! A short charge and I had everything up and running. Starting in low speed mode to save the paint in the new remodel and hoping to not done into the spare parts to quickly I was easily flying b around the house. The video quality at short range is superb! I can't wait to get outside and crank up the speed and test the video range. There is a whole lot packed into this package for the price. Looking forward to deepening my experience with the Holy Stone line.

This is a great product from Holy Stone! I got the f181g for my sons birthday! It states it's for ages 14 and above. Well I'm 44 and he is 10 and he is a better pilot than myself. The instructions are easy to follow and to the point. After learning the simple binding and calibration it's good to go. The 1 button launch and land is a great tool. It comes with 1 modular battery that gives a good 8 to 10 minutes of flight. I suggest buying 2 extras, they only cost around 20$. It handles good and with the speed selection you can adjust as your skill increases. Great buy!My comment about the customer service being so helpful is because we had it for about a week and probably just got to comfortable with it and it caught a blast of wind and away it sailed. We looked everywhere for it and no luck. After several hours of seeing my child upset about his bday gift disappearing I called holy stone to see what they could do and it amazed me that the rep asked about the conditions of location I was flying it then told me they would just replace it . This made my sons sad face go away. Thanks Holy Stone!
