Works well, attractive
Straightforward Instalation instructions. Previous Kwikset Halo about 4 years old, and never been able to update firmware. Batteries required changing about every two months. Never again. Eufy E31 has a specific dead bolt configuration so necessary to remove previous bolt mechanism. All installation a breeze. Recognized WiFi network quickly and logged in seamlessly. Added to Alexa devices and can now voice control with code request. So far perfect replacement. Supplied rechargeable battery module pack with emergency USB power. A different excellent experience. I’ve been battling quick set and happy this lock is performing as it should. Competitive pricing a real plus.

Great lock for the price
Installation is very easy, it takes no more than 15 minutes if the door has the correct hole size. Quality is very good, it looks very good installed on the door. Not so bulky. Functionality is great, unfortunately it can't be connected with Home Assistant. Configuring finger prints is very straight forward and the touch pad works super fast.

Great smart lock
I have been using smart locks for years, and this is my third. The Eufy replaced an August lock, so that will be the direct comparison. The August just replaced the inside portion, so reused the deadbolt mechanism. This Eufy replaces the entire unit, which has both advantages and disadvantages. If you're a renter, or want/need to maintain the existing key, leaving the existing deadbolt is preferred. However, replacing the entire mechanism, like the Eufy does, allows for more features, like the included keypad and fingerprint reader. For the August, the keypad was an add on. The Eufy also included wifi built-in, where with the August it was a separate component that was plugged in near the lock. While that requires more batteries for the Eufy, I prefer the all-in-one solution. The other advantage of the Eufy replacing the entire mechanism is how much more positive and direct the lock feels when locking/unlocking it manually. The August would sometimes get out of sync, and when turning the lock knob by hand, it would engage the motor and you would be turning that, too. The motorized locking is also more precise, and quieter, on the Eufy. The last advantage is really only for those already using Eufy. Having it integrated with the camera app is great. If you have a camera at the entry, you can locl/unlock the door from the same screen as viewing the camera. The fingerprint scanner works great, and is faster and easier than using a code. The one complaint I have is in the app. If you add codes for people like pet sitters, cleaning people, etc., you are limited in terms of how you allow them to use the lock. It's either always or scheduled. And you can't change that without removing the code and adding it back. You also can turn a code on and off. You have to remove it and add it. That's annoying and an inexcusable oversight. Hopefully that will be addressed at some point, but I don't have high hopes.

Great smart lock.
OK, I really like this smart lock. Physical installation was mechanical plug and play... took 5 minutes, literally... swapping from my old Quikset Kevo 1st gen dead bolt, which just ate batteries and worked maybe 10% of the time. Good riddance to that. The logial part of the installation was also very easy and fast. Keypad and fingerprint reader work perfectly and I had no issues with wifi, the Eufy app, or intergration with Matter partners Alexa and Apple Home (more on Apple Home later). Alexa voice control works great, however did lose its connection once where commands failed and Alexa said "there is something wrong with the Front Door (my name for the device). I had Alexa re-poll all my devices and it is back, and so far so good. I don't know if this was a one time thing or something that might become a problem. As for Apple Home, connecting the E31 to that was also simple and the Home app and Siri both controlled the lock perfectly. But as soon as the phones' screen goes off, Apple Home and Siri no longer work the next time. I get "command sent" then command failed messages and then that the device needs to have connection an Apple Home edge router or device like a HomePod, which I don't have. I may get a Mini just so I can use Siri for this lock since it is way more convenient than Alexa that needs a voice security code to unlock. The other negative is that I had all my exterior doors on one key and now I need to carry another one for this. But I knew that going in. I wish every lock maker would license QuikSet's anykey technology which makes re-keying dead simple and quick. Oh, well. The other potentially great thing about this lock is the large rechargeable battery. This looks to be a game changer, even if it gets only about half of the advertised life. No more tossing dozens of AA batteries into the trash or recycling. And hopefully much more life than the 6 weeks I used to get on the batteries for my Kevo POS. I would probably ahve given it 5 stars instead of 4 except this is day one and I have no idea how reliable this thing will prove to be or how the battery performs in the real world. Time will tell.

I recently installed the Eufy Smart Lock E30 on my front door, and it’s hands down one of the best smart home upgrades I’ve made. The installation was surprisingly simple, and the build quality feels solid and premium. The fingerprint sensor is lightning fast—my door unlocks instantly every time—and the app integration with the Eufy Security ecosystem makes it super convenient to monitor and control access remotely. I also love the auto-lock feature; it gives me peace of mind knowing I’ll never forget to secure the door. Battery life has been excellent so far, and the sleek design looks great on my modern door. Totally worth the investment

decent lock. finger print reader is very accurate and fast. procedure of fixing the lock to the door is pretty simple. build quality is ok for the price, could have been better. the lock/unlock motor makes a little more sound than i had expected, not very smooth. battery seems to be good, haven't checked though how long it lasts between charging. I am not sure, but i wish this was available in brushed nikel finish. overall a worthy product !!

This was a replacement for an older Yale Lock which stopped working mechanically. Simple installation and everything fit just right. Following set up instructions in the app also worked well and connection to Matter and the Apple HomeKit were seamless.

Very easy install and seems to be good quality. I have other Eufy products and I'm very happy with this brand and their customer service is excellent. The only issue is that it has some trouble with reading the finger prints of some of my other family members in the house, I'm not sure why, so I knocked off one star for this reason. I also like that it will notify me when the battery gets low, which our previous lock didn't do and caused some trouble for us getting back in the house.
