Cute doll but rubbish chalks
This is a really good action figure doll (not really sure what the non Barbie name is!) and she has beautiful long hair that can be styled in a variety of ways. She’s poseable and moves around but you do have to sit her down if you want her to balance alone, she’s a bit too top heavy to stand up alone.Unfortunately too the main accessory for the set, being the hair chalk, isn’t great. Even if you’re scrubbing the hair like you’re rubbing it on like soap, it still doesn’t give a very good colour. We got better results with our own “people” hair chalk we have in our fancy dress kit, but unfortunately that hasn’t washed out well. Her hair is still a little stained using the stronger chalks. So I suppose you either settle with the weaker colours but they wash out, or use stronger ones and allow for the stains.

Lovely doll, hair chalks aren't great...
The media could not be loaded. Lovely doll, my little girl is very happy with her, and especially loves her long hair!She was awkward getting out of the packaging, but they always are!You get the doll, a comb, 5 hair accessories, and then the hair chalks. The chalks come packaged separately, so to use them you have to remove the top of each wand, slide the chalk inside, and then replace the top. The chalk doesn't apply very easily, I have to say. My little girl had to rub it back and forth quite a while to get some colour on, and I had to help her hold the doll in place, as a stand isn't included, which I thought was a shame. (see my video)Personally, we won't bother using the chalks again, they're a bit of a faff and just not that good. The quality of the doll is great though, her outfit is bright and detailed, and her face is beautiful, as you expect with a Rainbow High doll. It's a bit of a hit and a miss, overall..

Prettier than the first Meline face sculpt!
Very pretty Meline, beautiful quality as usual from RH, but... I really miss the articulation, esp the arms.
