the very first puzzle - 5 across / there is no clue for 5 across. the title is colors - so this should be easy....wrong! what color begins with 'P' and ends with 'U'. (three letters)I am introducing my granddaughters to crosswords, and was very disappointed in the quality of puzzles in this book.

This was bought for a child interested in such things and he has enjoyed it immensely. It is printed on the cheapest pulp paper imaginable and does not have a lot of puzzles. In other words, it is half a book and a poor overall value. Kids' stuff is often the biggest ripoffs!!! Nevertheless, it is what he wanted and for that I am glad.

Having themes is a nice idea, but there are a few things that could be improved: 1) level of difficulty in choices of words varies, to the extent that several adults were unable to figure out the correct word, 2) the puzzle is structured (often with only one letter shared by two words) so that sometimes it's impossible to determine the correct word. It was a bit frustrating for the children (who couldn't complete without adult assistance because of those structural problems - unclear clues) as well as the adults who had to deal with the same issues.

I would give it 0 stars if I could! Terrible “clues”, horrible punctuation and grammar! Just atrocious. My daughter was so excited to get this but is so upset by how awful it is! She actually just said “I want to return this book and get a new book! This is a lot of bologna!”

Did publisher even proofread this book. Incorrect spelling of words, i.e, happines. Clues very confusing for children and adults so children frustrated. Supposed to be fun not frustrating.

My granddaughter really enjoyed doing the puzzles

Too technical for an 8 year old!

No thought seems to have been given to tailoring them to the ages described on the cover.
