COMFORT ZONE Reversible Twin Window Fan with 3-Speeds & Expandable Width

1. Very easy to put it and fit in our windows snuggly with the adjustable sides. 2. It fit well with out current screen still on tact. If you don't have a screen, I could see this possibly accidentally falling out of the window. 3. The sound was not super quiet, but we like the white noise. We tried it on the highest setting. 4. The cord is only a couple feet so you might need an extension cord. 5. It comes with a pretty flimsy screen you can attach if you don't have a screen already. 6. We returned it as I did not account for this being so see through and since we were using it in our bathroom for showers, it was a no. However, it did exhaust the hot/moist air well.

It works! I live in Fallbrook, CA where the temps drop in the early evenings through the morning. I don’t have central AC in my rental so the heat gets trapped inside my place while it’s been nice, cool and breezy outside. The ceiling fans don’t help when it’s hot inside so I was needing something to utilize the nice, cool fresh air outside. I could always feel it just by standing by the window. I’m so glad I found this window fan. Within minutes of turning it on, the cool air comes through and the room feels significantly cooler! It really works! I can’t believe what difference it made for the smaller price I paid compared to getting an AC room unit. It’s a little loud but it works very well! No set up needed and I’m very surprised it fit my window which is a horizontal sliding unit. I thought I could install it vertically over my window but it was too short. I decided to give it a try placing it down horizontally and it actually fit PERFECTLY into the half of the sliding window part over the screen! Whoever made this was genius!

This fits our 24" window perfectly. The side baffles can be a little tricky to extend, but they work. The lowest setting is basically useless. The middle setting is a little better. The highest setting is the most useful. It is the most noisy, but we use it in the bedroom when we are sleeping and it acts as background "white noise" that actually helps us sleep. It's not so loud that it keeps us up either. I could go for leaving out the lowest mode and replacing it with an even higher high mode.

I appreciate how this window fan has these side panels that can pull out for a perfect fit for the window's width. Alrhough this cooler would have to be physically turned around if I wanted to blow air out of the room, I just use it to blow air in. It has been working so great even on one of those sweltering hot days! It gives a LOT of relief and also has improved the circulation and air quality in the large living room-dining room. It is also superior to the overhead fan. I dont know why it works so well! It has a couple of speed settings and it does perform much better & is incredibly more convenient than the swamp cooler I had.

I've had one like this before, but I got this manual reverse model for my bedroom window, since I don't use the exhaust feature very often. Good-- it moves a decent amount of air, it comes with a mesh bug screen, and it's black (looks better from the outside). Bad-- it's louder than other window fans I've had; the slide-out sides aren't as wide as in the description so it doesn't stay put, because there's no part that sits in the window frame! neither on the bottom, like usual, nor on the top to hold it in place when the window is shut. the only thing that could hold it is the side pieces, which dont expand enough to fit in my 32" wide window in a very "standard" apartment. I got this "used, like new", and I'm assuming that the previous buyer discovered the fit issues. I need a fan, so I have to keep it. But if it was purchased locally I would have returned it the same day. Wanted to love it like the other ones, but it just doesn't fit. Disappointed with this purchase. 3/5 stars because it is a functional black window fan, just not well designed to fit real windows.

REVIEW CAVEATS This review is largely about using the fan in the kitchen to remove cooking fumes. Your mileage may vary depending on your use and your year-round weather. Extremely cold or hot environments are going to be more difficult regardless of the fan purchased because they all weaken the barrier between indoor and outdoor temperature. More importantly, many of the issues mentioned below are simply poor design and would affect any user in my opinion. NO SECURITY The description says: “Enjoy peace of mind knowing that your fan is securely installed and properly sealed.” Yet, there’s virtually no security with this fan. The accordion panels on the sides simply slide back and forth and the large width on top and bottom means it isn’t like to fit into window well. This means it can then be simply pulled out by an intruder easily. If you’re worried about intruders, probably best to avoid most fans anyway. TOO WIDE FOR SOME WINDOW WELLS No measurements are listed for the width of the top and bottom rails on this fan. They are both wide. This means the fan doesn’t fit in a standard double pane vinyl window well. The bottom rail of the fan is about 1.75” (4.5 cm). Many window wells are 1.25-1.5”. The result is there’s no secure attachment. With window-mount air conditioners, there’s a narrow rail on the bottom to fit in the well, and ledge on top that the sliding window snugs up against. Once the sliding window is locked with an L-bracket to the window frame, security is solid. This fan has neither and can’t be secured against either the well nor the sliding window so it can pop out easily. 2 SPEEDS & WEAK AIFLOW It only has 2 speeds, not 3. The fans are quiet but not very strong at all. I wanted to use this in my kitchen to remove cooking fumes, but it’s not strong enough. MANUALLY REVERSIBLE ONLY “Reversible Airflow Control” is misleading and sounds like the fan motors can reverse direction via a switch. They do not. To reverse the airflow, you have to physically remove the unit and turn it around. In multiple descriptive sentences they deliberately allude to easy reversibility as though the motors will work in either direction. The “manual reverse option” is not also a “VERSITILE REVERSIBLE FUNCTION.” Manually reversing seems the opposite of “versatile.” MANY SMALL OPEN SPACES There are numerous openings above and below the accordion panels plus the top switch opening and bottom electric cord area. I don’t want a bunch of extra openings to let air in and out. This means I can’t leave it installed year round. There’s much opportunity for cold or hot air escaping or entering with all the small openings. IMPOSSIBLE SCREEN / COVER INSTALLATION The fabric cover and screen are not at all easy to install or remove. The design is absolutely horrible because there are 6 tiny plastic pins that are deeply tucked into the corners around the fans. It’s next to impossible to pinch a tiny elastic band on the screen and then force your fingers into the corners to get the elastic around the inward-facing plastic pins. Once you struggle to get 4 bands on, it becomes literally impossible to get the last two because the screen is stretched so far that the elastic loops are pulling hard. It’s a complete and frustrating design failure and will make the screen and cover unusable for most. The bands will stretch over time a little so could get easier, but that doesn’t help how hard it remains to jam your fingers into the corners to force tiny bands around the pins. Also, while the screen seems okay to keep insects out, the cover seems mostly useless. It’s very thin and practically perforated so it’s not going to keep cold or warm air in or out. It seems more like an afterthought to make the product appear to be quality. Plus with all the openings mentioned above, there’s ample ways for unwanted air to pass with other without the cover. ANY GOOD BITS? Quiet operation, fairly small size and will fit in lots of windows. Cleaning fan blades and motors looks easy and requires removing 10 screws ( I don’t know how easy it is to then remove the fans from spindles to get to motors or even if that’s required for a good cleaning). Power cord is adequate length though also not very long. Some may need an extension cord to reach an outlet. Includes snap-on feet for table top use. VERDICT I rate this meh to very poor design and would NOT recommend this fan for most.

This fan works great and also looks nice. I like that it is not big a gaudy. The panels on the side are wonderful to have as well because my cat tries to get outside through the screen and the panels prevent this. This product is made pretty well, except the legs on the bottom keep falling off. I recommend this fan.

Loud but good window fan. I personally dont mind the loudness its tolerable. My boyfriend on the other hand doesn't even like the blower on the car. With that being said I can only use it for short periods of time or when hes not home. It helps circulation in the house when the weather is nice and. Works well . I can wedge it in the window and pull air in or out. Good for when you are cooking too. There is no remote so ok if your like me and loose them easy. 3 settings is nice. I'd say 4 stars for a simple cheap dual fan but since you have to take it out of the window to turn it around to reverse the flow is -1 star for me.

Great product, just put in window and works great, and can take with me when move house.

El problema es que la toma de corriente va a 120v. El producto no indicaba que iba a ese voltaje. Lo devolví y partí el cable porque ademàs era de cuchilla., e incluía un fusible en el mismo enchufe, otra cosa extraña al menos para mí.

Died within a few minutes with a nasty burning smell - waste of money - avoid

No complaints! Its not going to completely exhaust out the hot air in high humidity but serves well as a fan and fits most of my awkward window spaces
