Incredible Performance, Gaming Capabilities, Emulator King
The media could not be loaded. Being an avid pc gamer who has to spend a few nights a month out of town for work, I wanted something powerful with a small footprint. I thought about a Steam Deck or a Rog Ally X, but came to the conclusion that id basically only be using it Docked mode, so the built in screen and controller would not be used, therefore not worth the added cost.Started researching and landed on this. The processor is great, the size is mind-blowing, and the 780m packs a punch for graphics.Gaming wise, here's the brutal truth-Steam AAA games with FSR still look pretty good, I spend most my time gaming on an RTX 4080, so definitely had to temper my ecpectations- knowing that, very happy with the performance. Being able to play newer games on the road is wild. Especially for something that fits on the palm of your hand and weighs about as much as an Xbox controller.Putting together was a snap, I actually did the entire thing in a hotel room with a screwdriver on my keychain. disregard the reviews about the feet needing to be pryed off- as of July 2025, the units no longer have the feet preattached to the barebone kit.Heres where this really shines, emulation gaming.Expect 1440p 60hz on PS3, Wii, Xbox 360Expect 1080p 60hz on SwitchExpect 4k 60hz on everything below (would be an infinite amount of FPS, but there are limits non related to this actual equipment).Bought a cheap case and have my whole setup to take literally anywhere now.10/10, would buy again and again

My customer support experience with MINISFORUM Support team very positive experience.
The UM880 Pro is a testament to how far mini PCs have come. Here's a breakdown of what makes it stand out:Exceptional Performance: The AMD Ryzen 7 8845HS processor with its integrated Radeon 780M graphics is the star of the show. It delivers impressive performance for everyday tasks, demanding productivity workloads, and even light to moderate gaming.Future-Proof Connectivity: The inclusion of an OCuLink port is a significant advantage for users who might want to connect an external GPU down the line, offering a near-desktop-level graphics experience. The dual USB4 ports also provide high-speed data transfer and display output capabilities. Sleek and Compact Design: It's a stylish and well-constructed machine that can easily be placed on a desk without taking up much space. The design also allows for easy access to internals for upgrades.Quiet and Cool Operation: Despite its powerful components, the UM880 runs cool and quiet under normal workloads, making it a pleasant companion for any workspace. My customer support experience with MINISFORUM Support team was very positive experiences , very timely responsiveness . Pretty good performance for the price
With it's Ryzen 7 8000 series processor and Radeon 780M GPU, this thing delivers nice, responsive performance in most desktop applications and can even run some modern(ish) AAA games at 1080p. Arkham Knight, XCOM 2, and even Baldur's Gate 3 are all very much playable. For casual gaming and light desktop work, this is a very good value.Unfortunately, because there's (currently, to the best of my knowledge) no compatible Linux driver for the Wifi module they opted to use, I'm stuck using Windows for the moment. So far that's been my only gripe with this machine.

Small but Mighty
So far, a very capable system for it size and price. Came with 32Gb of ram, which is enough for most things people need. However, since I'm running some large file engineering design programs, I needed to upgrade (up to 96Gb) which I could do with this model and not with others. As such, the Wi-Fi doesn't slow down when downloading or uploading files, updating programs, or running multiple streams at once. It's the quietest computer I have ever heard and it stays cool as long as you have some caution and don't leave it in the sun or under a heat lamp.I hope that you will do your own research and find what will work best for you. It just so happens that this particular little thing is just what I needed to finish college. But overall, a solid machine for an average household that does streaming and online gaming.

Fine if you build it once and not open it ever again as the plastic is weak
Plastics are very flimsy. If you swap RAM and storage around more than a couple of times, I wouldn't get this or any other plastic mini PC, as the stand-offs for the screws that hold the bottom cover of the case are maybe only glued in, so they separate from the top of the case. Form factor is good, cooling is great, and performance very good as expected. The Wifi card that ships with it doesn't support many mainstream Linux-based distributions even with 6.x kernels. I swapped the wiresless nic for an intel chipset based one and its excellent.
