Handy bottle!
Good quality materials. So handy! I carry this in my bag when going to a show so I don’t have to spend $4 on a bottle of water! Passes muster with security.. Reliable seal. Easy to fill. No leaks. When it’s finished it folds up small so I’m not carrying around a large empty bottle.

Easy fill, light weight, simple bite valve
This is a vine review, but I chose this product because I am a hiker, biker, backpacker and recovering runner. I've gone through loads of hydration packs, water bottles, runner belts, etc over the years. I was definitely curious if a soft sided HydraPak could stand up to some light abuse and not leak. The product is BPA+ and PVC free which is great in a world where we're learning more about plastics and chemicals in our food and water. The weight feels like the product is made with durability and weight consciousness in mind. There's a QR code on the back that helps find packs and vests that fit this product. I plan to drop it into my back jersey pocket for road and mountain bike riding with an electrolyte mix for recovery while keeping my other bottles on the bike frame with water only.I wondered about why it had a flip top opening as well as screw off lid, but the convenience of being able to pour an electrolyte mix in without trying to hold a bag of water made sense once I filled it. Pop the cap, pour, seal the cap. The screw off lid allows more space to clean it after use and to get under the lid. The bite valve is the best of any I've ever used. Most sports bottles pull a plastic cap up and water flows around it, my camelbak bite valve splits a rubber opening, letting you suck water through the tube. This HydraPak valve needs only slight pressure to open the space around it allowing full flow with minimal effort. No leaks so far either. I usually lose several drops a minute with the camelbak bite valve.Overall, this appears to be intelligently designed, though likely more geared towards a distance runner with a compatible vest. I can see this becoming more difficult to easily secure in a jersey pocket while riding, though would be great when stopped.Only one star removed due to the floppy structure and difficulty stashing on the move in anything other than a purposely designed vests or belt by HydraPak. If the had traditional rigit sports bottles with the closure and bite valve like this one, I would rank it 5/5.

Quality is good
Perfect for a runner getting into more distance they work great with a running vest. Also the way they open they are fairly easy to clean. Over all great product.

Perfect packable bottle.
Great packable bottle. Very easy to fold up when empty. The only part that takes up any space is the lid and top portion. This is useful for arenas and concerts since most near me allow reusable bottles such as these. It does have a durable exterior and for how thin it is, it has held up well and holds a good amount of water with no problem.

Super portable water bag, though really specific in use case
This is a review for the HydraPak Softflask Speed: Overall, it seems to be a well-built solution for having water on you without the space of a full bottle all the time. Works fine for the most part, but I'm not crazy about the bite system design for getting to the water, nor the lack of a cover for that nipple if you were to store this in a bag/if you were in dustier situations. It's a really specific use case - if you're a runner with one of the vests/hip belts that can carry this upright, this'll be perfect, but for everyone else, it may be a pass (won't stand upright, need to bite to use, no cover, etc.)

Collapsible hydration bottle allows the most efficient carrying of water
If you’re looking for a regular old bottle to port around your water, you’ll want to keep looking; BUT, if you’re a hiker or biker or camper or climber who wants the most efficient and light-weight method to carry your liquids, this HYDRAPAK SoftFlask may be the perfect one for you.First off, the “skin” of this bottle is EXREMELY thin — like the very minimum thickness needed to keep your water inside. Of course, this is precisely the design — minimal packaging (a mere 46 grams) to accomplish the goal of carrying in your hydration vest or pack. This particular tapered flask holds half a liter of liquid, features a “quick fill” locking pop top, and a leak-proof nozzle that will ONLY dispense water when you squeeze it between your lips or teeth.Although the flask claims it is top rack safe in the dishwasher, the delicate construction would make me feel more comfortable washing it by hand. It specifically states that it is “BPA+PVC free,” so you won’t have to worry about the scary chemicals leaching into your pristine water supply. Finally, HydraPak offers a “Beyond Lifetime Warranty,” promising to repair or replace for FREE this bottle if you ever experience an issue. That’s amazing, and makes me wish my car and liver carried such a bold claim. For now, I’ll just settle for this amazing water flask. I doubt you’ll be disappointed in your purchase, if this sounds like the bottle for you.

Leaking during first use
Both bottles leaked right away (first use). Now I’m outside the return window, which is really frustrating. Low quality product that I recommend avoiding

Great for having water on you, without taking up extra space!
This is a very nice, VERY easy to travel with water container. Think of it as a CamelBak that fits in a cup holder. Don't expect it to stand up on it's own, or have ANY structural integrity to it. That can be really nice if you're looking to roll it up into a backpack or even pocket. However, it is a bite valve style top which hasn't leaked yet and seems to hold water in just fine. I can definitely see how it'll get dirty and need to be cleaned if it gets dropped in the dirt or something like that. The flip up top is very nice to fill or empty it and possibly put ice in it (I wouldn't recommend ice cubes with sharp edges though).Thankfully since it's BPA and PVC free, there wasn't any smell or weird taste to it. The material that makes up the container itself is quite thin, so I wouldn't expect it to hold up to a lot of abuse including not being very resistant to punctures.Overall, it's not exactly cheap, but does the job well and worth looking into!
