warm and comfy
I bought these for my son to wear at work in a tire repair shop. He loves them because they are warm and cushy. Fox river socks have never let us down. They are pricey, but worth it. they wash up great and are very good quality!

Warm enough for sub-zero, without sweaty feet!
These are my new favorite winter socks, and I will be ordering more. Where I live, temperatures often drop to -10 to -20°F, and it's hard to stay warm even indoors.I love these because they are soft and thick, and the little loops inside wick moisture away so your feet don't get sweaty in them. They are a little big for my feet (women's size 10, men's size 8.5), but I can live with that.If your feet are near the above range or larger, I HIGHLY recommend these fabulous socks!

Last a very long time.
They will outlast just about any socks. The key is not to continually dry them in a dryer. Let them air dry it only takes overnight. They will shrink and harden in a dryer. If they are a little big you can dry them once to get them right though. Also your shoes or boots must be big or extra wides to accommodate these thick cushy socks. Sketchers has extra wide shoes all memory foam. The combination of these socks and extra wide memory foam Sketchers is like walking on clouds. I have been wearing these socks for many years now. Several orders.

Best socks ever!
Honestly, some of the most comfortable, longest lasting and warmest socks I’ve ever owned. I’ve been wearing these for 20 years and the quality stays high. Fox River Wick-Dry Socks Rock!

Good XL socks!
Seem like great socks that are thick and comfortable. Glad they are available in XL sizing. Will be wearing them often to see how they hold up before buying 4 or 5 more pairs. I wear heavy socks year round when outside working just for cushioning in my boots and shoes.

Warm and dry, but a bit bulky.
Nice and warm, for sure, but they seemed a bit bigger than other wool hiking socks I own. Perhaps because they are made especially for cold weather. They seem to get fuzzy fast after a few washings, which adds to their bulkiness. Other than that, they are warm and comfortable. I am wearing them now, actually. I'm a Smartwool fan, but I might buy these again.

A Field Tested Product
In short, it is possible that my insulated hiking boots were a bit too small to accommodate this thick sock potentially causing a blood flow restricting effect, but here is my experience.I bought this pair of Fox River and Wigwam Men's Merino Wool Comfort Hiker Crew Length Sock,Navy,Large to test on a 4 day hike in Allegheny National Forest over Thanksgiving of 2015. I started the hike wearing the Wigwam socks. After those socks became sufficiently soaked in sweat, I decided to take them off and throw on the dry pair of Fox River. Before I switched socks, I dried and warmed my feet and began to dry the Wigwams at the camp fire. I walked around and collected some fire wood, sawed some firewood, and was about to get some water from the stream, but I noticed my feet were bone chilling cold. That was only 30-45 minutes after I put them on, I took them off and put back on my moist Wigwams and I was much more comfortable. As I firstly said, it is possible that my insulated hiking boots were a bit too small to accommodate this thick sock, but the linked Wigwams were a much better fit. Another possible issue is that the Fox River is largely acrylic whereas the Wigwams are largely Merino wool (i contacted Wigwam to confirm because the amazon description was poorly communicated. You'll see if you read the description). I always liked wool and will continue to stick with wool.

Buena calidad, tallas MUY grandes.

Excellent Socks!
Bought these for my long hikes and they don't disappoint! Recently kept my feet dry during a 20-miler on a warm day. Soft, thick and very comfortable and certainly helped my boots from rubbing on my heel...no blisters! A great buy.
