The online fantasy game Elder Tales is a worldwide phenomenon, immersing millions of players in its intricately conceived virtual world. However, the release of the game's twelfth expansion pack makes that immersion all too literal, as players from around the world are suddenly pulled into the game's no-longer-fictional universe! Now, eight-year ET veteran Shiroe, his friend Naotsugu, the beautiful assassin Akatsuki, and 30,000 other players are faced with the daunting task of learning how to deal with an entirely new reality, one where the Non-Player Characters are actually alive, and the tips and tricks learned while playing with a keyboard no longer apply. Flesh and blood replace avatars and stat lists, and an entire world stands on the brink of Apocalypse in the ultimate LOG HORIZON SEASON 1 & SEASON 2 complete collection! Review: A unique take on isekai with an adult protagonist, but suffers from a disappointing S2 - Season 1 (S1) starts off kinda slow and it really got interesting around episode 6-7 at which point I started to see why people really like this one. This one stands out for its world building and social interactions, as well as its political themes throughout S1. The action scenes are short and brief and not the high point of this show like many other isekai, so keep that in mind before buying. S1 was very good and entertaining, although honestly I wouldn’t say it’s any better or worse than a lot of the other popular isekai.. but it’s worth the watch if you like isekai in general. Season 2 (S2) is where it lost me.. the animation is entirely different (New studio) and severely lacking in quality from S1 to S2 and honestly it was just boring. All the things that made S1 unique and entertaining are missing in S2. It’s not terrible by any means, I just couldn’t stop checking which episode I was on hoping it would soon be over. It really was boring and it only got worse the further in I watched. The only reason I didn’t drop the 2nd season is because the 3rd is right around the corner (2021). But I’d recommend this even with the disappointing S2. Hopefully Season 3 picks up more so where S1 left off than S2. Season 1 is a 9/10 Season 2 is a 6.5/10 I’d give the whole thing an 8/10. Just keep in mind the first season is really much better. Review: Great series - Great anime series, with a very interesting story.

Fun, Surprisingly Deep
This show really surprised me. While I thought it seemed very generic at first, it soon became evident that the animation and production values were both high quality, and it didn't become a weird harem thing (always a plus!). The world building was shallow at first, but rapidly deepened as we were introduced to an increasingly complex world that delved into morality and the consequences of a person and people's actions. I really enjoyed this. The box itself was also high quality!

A must have for any anime fan!
A better “trapped within a video game” show than Sword Art Online, in my opinion. Though it’s sad that this series has to exist under the shadow of SAO, any anime fan worth their salt can spot the superiority that Log Horizon has over its older and bigger budgeted cousin. Lovable fun characters, a bigger and richer world, and best of all: the main character is not a one-man army! Shiroe is a spellcasting strategist that’s needs to rely on his teammates to get stuff done, not a sword-wielding solo player devoid of a personality that takes out boss monsters single handedly (I’m looking at you, Kirito!😤) something that any gamer can tell you will never happen in something like World of Warcraft! All-in-all, Log Horizon is a fantastic show! With season 3 coming out in 2020, now’s a good time to marathon this bad boy and see what all the hubbub’s about!

Awesome show. Takes the “trapped in a video game world” trope and makes it unique and fun
Log Horizon is an interesting take on a theme that has become too common in post Sword Art Online anime. It is refreshing and the characters’ struggles with both the world they’re in and themselves drives the plot in a truely enjoyable manner. It is almost impossible to just watch one episode. The soundtrack is amazing and there is equal parts laughs, action, intrigue, and drama to entertain anyone. It’s nice having the entire show in one convenient, bingeable, bundle. My only recommendation is watch the original Japanese audio with subtitles as the English voice acting is atrocious and at some points completely changes the tone and meaning in certain characters.

Great show! Xbox users beware subtitles problems!
Great anime. If you are a fan of .Hack series (games or anime) you'll likely enjoy this anime a lot. Interesting premise and some great characters. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is there is an oversight with displaying the subtitles for season 2 on the Xbox One. I watched the first season without any issues. Once I started season 2, only the line of the first sentence was displayed for a character. This appears to be an oversight for the Xbox One. I switched to my PS4 and this problem doesn't exist. If I didn't own a second Blu-ray player I would have been out of luck. Something to consider if your Xbox is your only Blu-ray player and you prefer watching with subtitles. This should've been something the publishing company and/or Microsoft needs to iron out. Considering how likely people use their Xbox or PlayStation as a Blu-ray these days instead of buying one stand alone, it's worth one star off.

Great Anime
This is an amazing anime. I've heard that some people think the seasons move along a little too slow, but I love the pace of this anime and what it is about. The Blu-ray is great and works as intended.
