TAMIYAUSA TAM87053 Putty Basic Type

I've only so far used it for adding a cast iron texture to a MaK model (works amazingly for such a simple technique), but it works incredibly well for added texture. It dries very quickly so be mindful you'll have to work fast! That is a strength and a bit of a drawback, as the rapid drying time means shapes hold better and you don't have to wait a long time for curing. I've so far only used a finger stipple technique (with gloves!) and it can take a bit of time to understand how the putty moves and reacts. Excellent stuff, though. I love it.

i used to use Milliput Green putty. i like this better it's easier to use and sand.

The media could not be loaded. I tried this putty to give me texture that would simulate cast iron. It worked great. I designed a medieval door that needed a textured door knob and faux nail heads. Spackle usually works for me but on the metal surfaces I knew I needed this putty to really stick and not crack off like spackle.

Dries fast, good for hairline cracks, but no deeper, sands easy - perfect for final touch-up before paint

Medium grey in color. Dries farely quickly. Easy to trim off and shape.

Take longer to dry than the Testors body-putty, but dries much harder and stronger.
