Cleaned my picture up like new!
I had recently purchased a used VCR that had a greenish line on the top of the picture no matter the cassette. I read it could have been the head in the VCR was dirty so I purchased this VCR cleaner. Took a couple times of playing it but after a few times I played a tape I seen the discoloration on and it's completely gone!

It worked!
We have tons of older VHS tapes and our player just stopped showing the picture, but the sound was on. I watched some videos online and figured the symptoms most closely matched "dirty heads" so I bought this since it had the most ratings. The ONLY reason I'm not giving it four stars is that it didn't clean the heads enough when I followed the instructions. A video mentioned running the cleaner tape using the "record" button so I did, and I did it a little longer than the instructions on the box said. Voila, working VCR again! I definitely recommend this product as a low cost way to trouble shoot picture issues with your VCR.

#1 Seller of VHS and VCR dry head cleaners
I still have a VHS player because I kept my VHS collection. CleanDr. safely cleans the heads of my VHS player so I can get the best possible picture. They use a dry cleaning technology that is better for the machine and tapes and you don't need to buy the liquid cleaning fluid. It is easy it use. All you do is put it in your machine and press play. Count for 20 seconds and rewind and eject. It will remove dirt, dust, and whatever else has builtup inside your machine. The product is good for 30 uses.

Great product
I have a VHS player built into an older model TV. It worked beautifully until I found a movie I had not seen for awhile. It was not in a box like my other movies. As soon as I put it in the player I realized the tape had dirt on it. The machine was jammed and I was unable to watch any movies. I purchased the VHS head cleaner and followed the directions. Unbelievable to me, after one 30 second cleaning the player works like new. I definitely recommend this product.

You pays your money and you takes your chances . . .
After reading Amazon reviews of various VCR head cleaning devices, I knew that customers more often than not would receive a different product than what they had ordered. The best you can do is select the type of cleaner (wet, dry or combination) that you think you want, and then select the seller that you feel is most likely to have that actual product. I chose Adorama Camera because they have a pretty good reputation for reliability. Sad to say, I ordered one thing and got another, just like everyone else. Adorama sent me a dry cleaning system instead of the wet/dry system that was pictured and described on the Amazon listing. On the plus side, I did notice that the cardboard container for this CleanDr Video Head Cleaner says "copyright 2013," which means that it's somewhat newly manufactured and hasn't been sitting in a warehouse forever. Even so, I haven't had the nerve to use the cleaner yet. It's just not what I ordered. How hard would it be to put up a photo and description of what is actually available for sale???????

Wrecks the VCR Heads, instead of Cleaning them.
If I didn't have my Old "SCOTCH (Dry) VCR Head Cleaner Plus" as my old standby, I would be in complete meltdown about now. I bought this "CleanDr. brand" to assist my "1993 SCOTCH (Dry) VHS Head Cleaner", just in case it could not take many more uses down the road, but clearly I was mistaken. My "27-years-old" SCOTCH brand Cleaner (used sparingly over the years) had to do the job of coming to the rescue after "CleanDr." almost ruined my "old 1999-2000" but very nice "Panasonic VCR". I was so happy that I could get my taped videos to show a picture again after all that SNOW and Static almost wrecked it from using the "brand new" CleanDr. VHS Head Cleaner. It could be that I bought a piece of junk CleanDr. versus a genuine item, in prime working order; BUT that doesn't excuse sending out LEMONS to people. They all should be checked out before being sold.
