UPDATE:One of our brand new iPads was ruined by the incident discussed in my original review. I initiated a return and contacted the vendor, and they have reimbursed us for the cost of the device. I am pleased that they made the situation right, however I would still exercise extreme caution with these cables. The company says they are going to investigate why this happened, I hope so.ORIGINAL REVIEW:Could have ruined our devices or burned our house down. My husband got up at 3 am for an Advil, thank goodness because we smelled the burning plastic. I followed it to these and immediately unplugged all of them from the devices. In doing so I burned my fingers to the point of blistering.

I really like this product. At first I was a little worried they were too short, but they weren't. They are just perfect for what I wanted them for. My husband and I have a clock radio by our bed with a usb plug. I wanted to be able to plug in our phones at night to charge. The first time I unplugged it, I forgot the spring. I love it! No worries about breaking the cord when I pull the plug out of my phone which is plugged in my radio. I also have one of those portable chargers in my purse and hated a large cable. This is perfect for that.

Charged once then nothing. Tried on 2 different iPad pros, 2 iPhone X and and iPad mini. Nothing. One cord did receive the dreaded “incompatible” message but that’s it. Don’t bother, worthless.

Works great short enough so it doesn’t get tangled in my pocket and last longer then some others I tried

Do not buy - walked in and smelled something electrical burning we found it was the cable not even plugged into a phone melted and started burning

So far I haven't had an issue with these. (I will update the review if that changes) They have a nice metal spring like portion right where the cables normally start to fail. We replace several cables a year due to failures near the connectors. I'm not sure if it will hold up longer because of this spring but I assume it will. It doesn't easily get pulled at a 90 degree angle.These are long. 6 feet long. In hindsight I should have probably bought maybe one or two of these for my nightstand and trips and several 3 foot cables for the cars and such. I have 2 of these in my car and they are out of control long in my Nissan Maxima. Sometimes I feel like they are taking over. That being said, I can hand the end to my son in the backseat and he can play on his iPad while it charges. It could be used as a jump rope for small children it is so long.I tend to go through cables pretty quick with 4 iPhones and a couple iPads in my house. (and I get to buy all of the cables) The hidden cost of going on vacation is that everyone brings a cable or two and when we get back home and unpack somehow we are missing cables. Keeping a bunch on hand stops me from paying $29 for the apple cable at Target or the Apple Store. As soon as I got this 5 pack my kids both told me they needed another cable. I am down to one spare already. At least they didn't cost my 5 X $29 at the Apple Store.

Literally Some of the most durable lightning cables ive ever owned. I have gone through hundreds of cables in my lifetime and these have lasted longer than i think any cord ive ever used. Am ordering more of these.
