This product is far from perfect. the tweezers are not great at all. Now that being said the meter performs very well and at the price point of $31.99 that I payed this product is phenomenal. It is so close to margin of error on readings its hard to tell if the component you are reading is a hair out of spec or the meter. I was working on a few things that had several unmarked smd components and no available schematic. As a complete amateur with circuits and electronics this thing is a huge help in being able to complete different repairs. I think this meter is worth every penny. Also I recommend using a power 12v power supply rather than the 9v battery option.

This unit is similar to most Atmel based LCR testers. The case is robust. Having different way of connecting to a part under test is very handy. I've had no problems with the unit, even after dropping it off my desk to the floor.The testing ranges are suitable for my needs. My only complaint (and it isn't really a complaint) is retesting of a part won't always come up with the same result. There are several reasons for this and most do not pertain to the tester. In my case, that isn't a concern, as I am using it to test parts I remove from circuit boards and before they go into my parts bins.Overall, it is a very good unit for general testing of inductors, capacitors and resistors. Just remember, IT IS NOT A HIGH-ACCURACY TESTER! It is good enough to let you know if a part is within its tolerance range.

While other units have color screens and may be a bit easier to insert components, this one reads gain on your trannies, which will tell you how hot they are. Perfect for distortion and fuzz and matching trannies. Also reads resistors and capacitors. makes for a super easy double checking of values. Seems robust enough for long term but cheap enough to replace.

Works as intended, Though this device great for hobbyist use and needs. This device should be used as a hobbyist grade projects and never MIL Standard use. For higher demand on MIL Standard use only precise equipment.

I tried to insert the components into the right side and they are totally jammed tight together except for the middle one which was wide open and would not close on its own. when i shut it usiing a small screwdriver it stayed shut but when a part went inside it opens up and doesn't hold the component leg securely.the calibration instructions weren't that clear and had bad grammar/word usage so you don't really know what to press.Returning the first one and will try another. Hopefully it wasn't made Monday morning or Friday afternoon.

Very fast, from off to transistor tested in 4 seconds!Not fancy, no color display like the other ones, but you can actually do work with this one!Also the box is well designed: you can power with 9V batt or DC in, it has plugs for probes and the buttons are mechanical and clear, you can't make a mistake with this

I highly discourage this product. It needs to be calibrated out of the box, but won't complete the calibration. It repeatedly turns off after 20 seconds of non use, which I think is actually part of the design, but of course, sometimes it takes more than 20 seconds to get set up for a test. The instructions are useless. Feels cheap, is cheap. Definitely not worth the money. Spend the extra $20 and get a better unit.

This tester seems to be fairly accurate. I aligns with my Fluke meter on caps and resistors. And most of the time when I test a choke it's close to what is stamped on the choke. Handy little gadget
