Side spikes are thin hollow tubes that screw in and snap off easily.
Not very useful for self defense. The side spikes screw in (not terrible) but it turns out they are made of hollow aluminum tubes, like thin straws. Why would they do that? To save a gram of aluminum? I tried punch a board thinking it was durable and noticed it immediately bent. I pushed it a bit more to straighten and it snapped off in my fingers leaving the threads inside. Not very useful in an emergency and may actually endanger you when it fails. Flimsy is the tldr.

Broke first day.
The two small spike that screw into the larger spike use a hollow chambered section to screw into the holes, making them very fragile. Mine broke within 24 hours of sitting on my keychain on my hip. It is still usable as a single spike, which is why it is getting 2 stars still. I am returning for a refund, however.

Would not stay together
I was so excited when this arrived- it feels so strong in your hand! I felt like I could swing this behind me and knock someone out! It was easy to reach for and easy to keep in my hand should someone attack me. The only problem was both sticks would fall out constantly. They screw in to the base, and I would constantly find them in the bottom of my purse or on the ground. No matter how tightly I would screw them back into it, they always fell out. Eventually I had to remove it from my keys because I could no longer depend on it to protect me.

Not even superglue holds this together
This is the first one I bought where you have to screw in the pointed pieces sticking out of it. It sucks, they do not stay in. I even super glued it and it still would not stay. Total waste of money. Iโm looking for the kind I used to have that is weld it together

Needs to be better engineered but I love it!
The two shorter pegs are not attached when you first get it you have to screw them onto the larger peg. But they donโt have a secure way to stay screwed in so they can slowly unscrew and fall off. Mine did and I only have one shorter leg left but I had to take it off because it kept unscrewing and falling off. So now I just walk around with the one larger peg. I think Iโll super glue the one short peg I have left. Wish it was just one WHOLE UNIT solid. Because it does seem pretty dangerous if you needed to defend yourself.

This is a good self defense item.
This is no joke when it comes to self-defense. It is very sturdy but could use a little bit of Loctite for the little spikes that come out they screw in. Also they are perfectly aligned to poke eyes out. So it's definitely a great weapon to poke their eyes out and then stabbed him with a point. If you have this item the attack will be over before it began. Great for men women and everyone else!

The prongs won't stay in place
The product doesn't come all in one piece. You have to assemble it yourself. No biggie, except the prongs keep coming undone. I've lost one in less than a month and tried super gluing the second in place, but it eventually works it's way free. I legit need to walk my dog four times a day, I don't live in a great neighborhood, and I walk with this in one hand and mace in the other. I will have to purchase a similar product from a different company. One that comes made in all one piece.

Quality Piece Of Self Defense ๐๐๐
Being more of night owl my self, I often walk my dog anywhere between 8:00 pm to even as late 1:00 am. Nice neighborhood and vehtjing, but you never know. This, a reflective construction type vest, and blinking light dog leash is my personal late night safety combo. I also wear a clip on light on my hat. Have not needed to is it for self defense luckily. But it sturdy and I highly recommend it.
