Really fun.
This game is simple, but if you like dragons you will have a blast. Graphics are really good, and the Carter models are well put together. The plot in all three games is simple and your kids will get a good laugh here and there. The negative point is something that may bug some people, and others maybe not. The first game shows quite a lot of rear ends of the Norcs. When attacking some they will turnaround in fear, and their pants will fall slightly showing some of their rear end. Also one of the bosses you fight shows his and you must burn his backside to beat him. Also the fairy's dresses don't cover enough of their legs in my opinion, and the dress does not cover enough of their top. But if you let your kids watch stuff like Starwars the clone wars this is much more mild than that. The other two games are really good though and I think they alone would be worth the money. The only thing I did not like about the third game was some romance between two carters, but I don't like romance so if you don't mind your kids seeing some romance then this game will be fine. All in all I would say this is a good game, and if you don't mind the native points I have stated then your kids will be very safe playing this game.

Great game for beginner players
Both of my boys, ages 7 and 5 love to play this! Husband played this is the early 90s and thought it'd be a good introductory video game for them and he was right, helps their hand/eye coordination and keeps them motivated. They earn playing time if they practice their reading 😉

Everything I hoped and dreamed it would be
Update: The latest patch gave players the option to disable the motion blur effect. That was awesome! The game feels so much better with the motion blur disabled in my opinion. Completed all three games and still replaying them. =DThe original Spyro trilogy was my all time favorite games I've ever played. I had long hoped for a remaster, especially after the Crash series got the treatment. I pre-ordered on the first day and was extremely happy that Amazon delivered on time. This is great service since I live in a small, remote town in Colorado and shipping doesn't always work out for us in a timely manner. My first play through the initial levels felt perfect. It goes without saying that the game looks worlds better, but the controls feel better than ever. The movement feels a lot more precise and the camera is very responsive. You can still go into the settings and change it to an Active camera so the view follows Spyro's movements even tighter. Whether you bash enemies or burn them to a crisp, the feedback is excellent from the playing perspective. One thing I've noticed is a ton of backlash at Activision for having downloadable content. I understand the frustration entirely when it comes to slow internet connections, but I hope I can shed some light on the reasoning behind it. I did some research and found out the total install size for the game is 67.5GB. Currently, the max size for PS4 Blu-rays is 50GB. I personally feel like this shows that Toys for Bob and Activision did the best they could do in a reasonable time. I understand that some people would argue that the games should have been compressed more, but I think this is unrealistic based on how much content is involved in this remaster.I highly recommend this game to anyone, especially to those who enjoy platformers. If you enjoyed the original Spyro games on PS1, then don't wait. This is a great experience and is certainly the kind of game I plan to play through multiple times. My already high expectations were nicely exceeded!

Bonus: makes your ps4 breathe fire
A lot of other people already address most of the pros and cons but the 2 main things which were irritating are the glide mechanics in this game which seem makes those barely reachable glides from the first game EXTREMELY difficult now and the fact that it heats up the ps4 like a furnace. Graphics are amazing but wow there is so much motion blur moving the camera around that it started making my eyes hurt. This would be perfect on pc if it ever comes out on it.Amazing graphics and so much is rendered (at once presumably) that the ps4 really kicks into overdrive with the cooling fan. DO NOT PLAY THIS if your ps4 is on a closed shelf with poor ventilation. You will probably brick your system like one of the top reviews did. Also pretty sure this remake is made by furries lol not hating just pointing it out.For those wondering or searching in the questions bar for any other info:-the ps4 registers this "game" as one game on the main screen then when you go in it you select which of the 3 you want to play-glide point has been lowered. You dont glide from the top of the jump but spyro actually ducks down and then glides.-jumping has been made a little higher than original height which I guess helps combat the poor glide mechanic but still annoying.-severe motion blur on regular ps4 , not sure about pro-there is some loading time similar to oem ps1 game. Do not expect ps1 emulator speeds which have almost no load times between each level.-a great deal of care and detail was put into this game and it shows. For a "childish" game they went all out with unreal engine.-there have been no updates or patches to any preexisting bugs and glitches found and reported by others online and unlikely that there will be unless theres a new platform release. In which case they SHOULD patch it and not port the same bugs over just for greed..- and yes you do need to download a ton of data but theres no dlc or anything like that so you cant please everyone who wants it all on a solid copy. They would be hitting the upper limit of bluray capacity by putting it all on the disc and the more data thats stored on disc the more chance you have of getting the "disc cannot be read" error over time. (see uncharted lost legacy issue which has plauged so many people for example) Given my past experience with heavily loaded disc games, i see this as a plus considering I dont want this disc to die off anytime soon.-total file size is around 50-60+ I think maybe more?
