NECA - Gremlins Mogwai - Gizmo 6" Soft Plush

For a toy between $20-$30 I was expecting it to be a little larger. It's just a tad bit bigger than a soda pop can. Although I was wishing it would be a larger toy for the money-worth, my toddler was thrilled that she could fit Gizmo in her coat and take it with her on daily errands. It's a good thing it's a cute toy :)

As a long-time fan of Gremlins, I'm always on the look out for good Gremlins merchandise. NECA makes excellent quality action figures, so I was interested to see what they came up with as far as a plushie goes. I'm pleased with it, myself, but my only interest in it was to be displayed on a shelf. It should be pointed out that this product simply isn't very "cuddly" and should not be given to a child for use as a teddy bear. I will elaborate. To begin with, the most obvious problem is the ears, which are large and made of a fairly hard rubber. I don't think that these would be very comfortable to someone trying to have it in bed with them at night, nor would they likely hold up if one were to lay on them. The hands and feet are made of this same material. Additionally, there are spots of glue in various places on the toy. These are not very noticeable if you are simply looking at it from a distance, but while holding it they would be quite apparent. Finally, Gizmo's bottom is made to be somewhat flat, with his legs/feet sewn to the front of the toy. This makes him great to be sat on a shelf, but not so good as a toy. I would recommend this toy primarily for adult collectors who are looking for a reasonably accurate Gizmo plush. He does look quite a bit like the Gizmo from the movie, and I'm happy to have him on my desk.

First off it's not no 6 inches a lot smaller than I expected, I can see places where the glue was used to put his arms, ears, and legs together with and also some lose fur. I wish I would have looked at the views my bad, however I still love how much he looks like Gizmo and I plan on just having him set on my shelf to look at , so I still love him!!!

It’s so CUTE! Perfect condition and the packaging was above and beyond! They took really good care in packing it, it wasn’t just tossed in a box- I am so appreciative of that! Thank you to the seller!! Will definitely purchase from this seller again, and the Gremlin…Gizmo…cute and perfect- got it for my dad for Father’s Day lol as a reminder that his kids and grandkids are this little guy and not the gremlins that ate after midnight lol iykyk haha!

I was kind of worried after I bought this and then read the reviews about feet glued on, falling off, etc. However, when I got him I was pleasantly surprised. He is super cute, looks very realistic, especially his eyes. Yes, the feet are glued on, but they're sturdy, so far he has endured a lot of abuse from my 3 year old (who is completely obsessed with him) and he has held up very well! He's not top quality, but he is what you would expect from $13. Definitely worth it if you're a Gremlins fan!

While this plush is not from Gremlins' original heyday, it is well made and bears a striking resemblance to an original Gremlins plush my sister had when we were kids, and the movie was all the rage. This newer version is one my own daughter purchased, after we did a family movie night and screened the original Gremlins. She is completely happy with it, and I think it is worth the price she paid.

Such a cute gizmo plush! Great for anyone who collects horror / gremlins items! He sits wherever you set him down I love it. But I keep reading all these reviews of peoples daughters breaking it? WELL IT'S A COLLECTABLE! NOT A TOY FOR KIDS TO PLAY WITH! It's not "cuddly and soft".

First off this thing is tiny, some images show it as 6 inches and others 8 so I wasn't expecting it to be huge but in a seated position its barely 5. Secondly the build quality is awful, glue visible in places, the plastic hands are glued to the fabric rather than attached, the fur is patchy in spots and seams are visible. Lastly and most annoyingly the head is rock hard, not really a plushie at all and certainly not comfortable to cuddle. For the price I feel a bit cheated, I guess its saved by still being adorable but I certainly feel misled and wish I had read further reviews..
