- ENTERICALLY COATED TABLETS: Serrapeptase is very sensitive to an acid environment and is easily destroyed in the stomach. Therefore Serrasyn is enteric coated to ensure that this sensitive enzyme is delivered to the intestines prior to being absorbed. Only enterically coated tablets have been used in conjunction with the range of clinical trials.
