I have struggled to boil eggs and not have half of the white portion end up in the composting bin. In the past I have tried to boil eggs every which way from boiling them, to letting them sit in hot water, to poking a tiny hole in them. I almost gave up on boiling my own eggs, until I found this steamer rack. I used the 5 5 5 method and it worked like a charm. It's been a long time that I haven't been cursing when I've tried to peel boiled eggs. The shells come of easily and cleanly. Very happy with this.

Great Egg Steamer Rack
When I purchased my pressure cooker I didn't get an egg rack with it. This is going to be nice to have to have boiled eggs for potato salad, ect and just to have boiled egg to eat. I never like boiling eggs, think I always boiled them to long.

Easy peel, farm fresh eggs in any pot!
I have chickens and peeling fresh laid eggs has been hit or miss until this thing came along. My friends have been raving over their electronic egg steamer and I thought I'd try to mimic it in a pot. I just did a batch of eggs with this rack and it held them perfectly upright no matter how large or small. The photo shows the difference between piercing the shell or not, plus how beautifully the fresh eggs peeled. The large egg on the left I made a pin prick in the large end of the shell before placing it large side up on the rack. The smaller egg I put on the rack large side up as well, but without piercing the shell. You can see the mark remaining on the smaller egg from the air cell, while the larger egg is perfectly shaped. A serious upgrade from trying to balance eggs in my little folding steamer basket.I cooked these for exactly 12 minutes above rapidly boiling water in a covered pot and then placed them into an ice bath to cool completely before peeling. Perfect bright yellow yolks, not a speck of green in sight, and shells that just slid right off!

The ability to do a Dozen at a time is Great!!
When making Deviled eggs, or an egg salad, or even just eating a hard boiled egg, the biggest issue is usually PEELING the egg.Using this Rack in the InstaPot, the eggs are MUCH easier to peel and you seldom waste one being cracked during boiling.And the fact you can do 12 at once, makes getting out the InstPot worth it!
