Not the sharpest cheddar flavor, but high quality ( for non-organic), and convenient.
As someone who likes the temper chocolate, and who loves the combination of dark chocolate with maple, roasted pecans and blue cheese powder, I was curious to see if cheddar and chocolate worked well. It does. Of course, most people buying this are going to use it in savory dishes. It would be a great quick addition to Mexican food if you don’t have any cheese in the house, and it’s a practical product to have on hand if you have children who like macaroni and cheese. Also, if you make twice baked potatoes, this powder, with a little milk and butter, or olive oil, would be a yummy filling. Last but not least, you can always sprinkle it on steamed broccoli for a quick , fresh twist and a little extra nutrition.

High quality, goes quickly
Pretty tasty stuff. I've decided to opt for another brand that sells a larger quantity though. This is just a bit too pricy the way I heap it on my popcorn.

Forget Smartood. changing your recipe to cheaper ingredients, I noticed and moved on!
I use this on Cabots seriously sharp cheddar popcorn - it tastes like O.G Smartfood. Before smartfood changed the recipe to cheap out on us thinking they could cut costs and screw us over. They were like "We are Smartfood, our customer base is loyal to us, we're the best. Lets knock cheddar cheese down the list of ingredients and replace it with some cheap crap, they won't know the difference, and if they do, whatever, we're Smarfood, what are you gonna do about it, they'll still buy from us!" = I say no, I found King Arthurs better cheddar cheese powder, on Cabots seriously sharp cheddar popcorn = O.G Smartfood.

Good quality, but not very cheesy
This has a more buttery taste than that of cheddar. I will use it for popcorn, but not for sauces.

Minimal Cheese Flavor
This King Arthur cheese powder is a very fine texture and doesn't clump, but the flavor is not very cheesy. I used it on popcorn, but it gave only a mild cheese flavor, despite using large amounts.

Move Over Kraft
This stuff is amazing. It's versatile, it packs a punch with its flavor, it is super easy to use, and it happens to come from a brand I personally trust. The downside is the price. This is a small container of powdered cheese, but with that being said, we ended up using a lot less than we thought because this product is so flavorful. We primarily use this for boxed mac and cheese in place of the chemically or watered down cheese powder that comes in the box, and it could not be an easier swap. It substitutes in the exact same way (powder, milk, and butter) and really changes the game. We even tried adding this to the powder that comes in the boxes and the difference is substantial enough that, if you aren't concerned about preservatives or don't need that all natural taste, goes the extra mile in making chemically blends taste better and adding enough cheesiness to the less flavorful boxed brands. I cannot stress enough how wonderful the flavor is. I was hoping for something that didn't taste super chemically and carried more flavor than we were getting out of the Kraft mac and cheese boxes. This blew my expectations out of the water. This is more than a cheap cheese byproduct- you can taste the actual cheese. When I opened the container, I was surprised because I could smell the subtle medium white cheddar tang, and now that I have actually tasted the end product, I am never going back. This is a great compromise between the convenience of a cheese powder and the taste of a homemade cheese sauce, coming from a dairy state native no less. While it certainly isn't a replacement for some good quality cheese, it is a step above the quick meals that we all occasionally reach for. If you're on the fence, I recommend buying one container and giving it a try and then deciding if it the price is worth it. For me, it's a yes, but again, the container is small for the price and, if I were less picky regarding flavor, I might look for another option.
