Bought it for $200 when it was on sale, one of the best mid-high gaming CPU’s, I would only upgrade if your going to play extreme Minecraft mod packs or high CPU tasks. Better speed than the 12700 and cheaper. If you have a motherboard that supports ddr4 and lga 1700 socket then this is probably one of the meta cpus because of the r shortage

It's the fastest processer I've personally owned. Even when paired with ddr4 4000mt. Quite reliable. Although I do get random errors and instability making me wonder if the microcode is really fixed or not. I can only recommend if you are willing to tinker with bios settings.

The product quality is consistently outstanding, exceeding my expectations every time.

An amazing value. The price to performance is amazing. I have had no issues with the 14600k. Runs great and cool. Does not come with a stock CPU cooler, bought the cooler master hyper 212 cooler, works great.

Nice Upgrade from 9th and 10th gen machines. Paired it with 96GB of DDR5 CL30, Samsung NVMe drives, 10G Ethernet, Thermalright Contact Frame and a 140mm Thermalright twin tower air cooler. Mild CPU overclock and stock XMP memory profiles that never reaches TMax. Makes building full kernels a breeze and can run virtual machines completely out of a DRAM disk. Doesn't seem to have the thermal issues of the i7-14700K and i9-14900K. Would buy again. Now if the price of DDR5 and GPUs would return sane pricing, I would upgrade it to 192GB of DDR5 CL30 and an RTX 5090.

Great cpu and the i5 14600k doesn't run to hot.

Bought it today, December 2nd Too late to cancel without spending money to return it when it arrives. I really want to trust it, on paper its more powerful then a 9800x3d in everything but gaming, but its still decent. but want to cancel it, but the orders already shipped out, which is aggravating, but ultimately is on me, I should have canceled it right away, I just hate the idea of having to upgrade everything again... Ill need New ddr5 ram "I have ddr4" new m.2 ssd "really don't like wd black sn770 I'm using as it isnt really all that efficient even with a solid copper heatsink and artic tp3 pads" obviously ill need a new motherboard too... Im thinking of just selling the rig I'vebuilt for 450 bucks and start from scratch because this platform feels suffocating and limiting, months go by and Intel hasn't released barlette lake which is pathetic, leaving users of this platform in a bad spot, when they could have used 18a and released another series of chips on this platform "like a budget 6 core i3 with no e core rubbish built on 18a as well as the rest of the new stack that should beads for lga 1700 as a sorry to customers who got screwed, but you know" and used 14a for the next platform lga 1851, but ya know, they have idiots running the cpu division these days, though my bios is updated to the latest, the more I think about the endless tweaking id need to do to under volt it, that stock if I dont there's a chance that even with 0x12F which as of this writing is the latest microcode for the lga 1700 platform, my bios is fully updated. There is just no true guarantee that this chip isnt cursed and won't die anyway. Its 290 bucks... That's extremely expensive for something that might just die. There's no value here unless you go for the 14th or 13th gen i3 or the i5 14500f or 13500f. Id wanna buy the lga 1851, arrow lake seems great, but for gaming, its decent but not amazing. Arrow lake for gaming is a dud if you really want first class performance, then they'll make a refresh which probably won't be much better then after arrow lake, they will make nova lake, which is what arrow lake should have been. They should have never released arrow lake. Im so close to just going amd and never looking back.

The box arrived in 'used' state, but the chip is tested working, even with some undervolting. Snappy processor that boosts to 5.3 MHz. For the price, it competes well with the competition for gaming and multimedia workload.

snagged this cpu during the amazon sales for £155. the price to performance of this cpu is great; i can run this alongside my rtx 5070 and have no bottleneck whatsoever. a great cpu offering great speed.
