Excellent small quilt
What a beautiful quilt this is. It's well made and the colors are really very pretty. And there are lots of colors! I am very happy with my purchase and the size is perfect. I do love it!

Soft, comfy, colorful -- can't beat it
I absolutely love this throw. I'd forgotten how nice a light quilt can be. Love the patchwork look and the bold colors. The back is VERY yellow, almost a mustard color, which I don't mind; it just didn't remember it looking like that when I picked it out last winter. Bought it to go with some 1990s cranberry-red furniture I found on Craigslist. The throw's prints nicely complement the more solid color of the loveseat and chair. The weight and drape of this well-made throw falls into the "coverlet" category. It's NOT a comforter, and not exactly a quilt, either, though the square pieces are stitched together and not just printed on. I happen to prefer a coverlet, which may be at least partly why I love it so much. I've washed it a few times (I have pets) and really like both how easy it is to launder as well as how it's become softer with each machine washing and drying. If it's shrunk at all, I would have to say it's been minimal -- it seems to be the same size it was when it got here. The colors have faded the tiniest bit, which is perfectly fine for my "rustic" senses. Reminds me of a calico smock top my mom made for me when I was a kid...The quality for the price is unbeatable. I'd ordered a bedspread and matching shams from JCPenney, and sent them back. The Greenland Home selections here on Amazon are MUCH BETTER quality, and lower priced. The colors/patterns aren't comparable to the JCP items I had delivered; however, I'd rather have bedding like this throw than the color scheme. I'm so happy with this one throw, I've just ordered a whole bedroom set that includes decorative pillows, plus a throw, in the Blooming Prairie design. Everything I ordered was LESS than the bedspread and two shams at JCP. Significantly less, actually. I can't wait to see my new bedroom!

very nice, very pretty and well made
The colors in this throw are very pretty. I also got the king quilt set to go along with it. The squares on the throw are smaller than the king quilt, but very dynamic look overall. The sewing is solid, no problems with any area of it. It has the look of an heirloom quilt but is machine made. It has a nice thickness to it, but not too thick. It could easily be used as a wall hanging IF you put the backing on it to hang with a valance rod or quilt hanger. The only problem I saw with it was the new odor so it went into the washing machine on gentle and then dried on gentle. I'm into quilts so gentle handling makes them last for many years and washing is rare due to how they are handled. This is a pretty enough quilt and well made enough that if someone wanted to go to the trouble of hand quilting it to make it look even more authentic, it would be worth the time. The idea of quilting over it and using it as a wall hanging is a suggested idea that is being considered as it really is impressive in color and design work; it is machine quilted so it really isn't necessary for most people. I was really surprised by the quality of the sewing and construction overall. This company has really done an impressive job in this throw and in the king quilt set that I bought with it. My home is country decor and this fits beautifully. Highly recommended.Update. I commented that the washing of the quilt on gentle got the smell out but after a week of letting it air out more, it still held a certain amount of "odor". One person who reviewed it called it a "new smell" but it really smells like just a bad chemical odor and my best guess is China pollution as the big metro areas have a serious problem in that country. So the fact that I really do like this quilt and its colors, I took some water and put it in a squirt bottle and then added some drops of peppermint essential oils (young living product) and then sprayed both sides of the quilt and then put it in a bag and closed it shut so that it could air out with the essential oil that I hoped would just "eat" the odor. After 3 days of being in the bag and away from any heat source, I finally took the quilt out and let it dry out and air out completely. Now the smell is gone. The odor was impacting my breathing and giving me a really bad headache; I'm chemical sensitive so the odor was a serious problem for me. Peppermint essential oil is a good odor eater for chemicals I've found so I have used it on occasion. I am really relieved this process solved the problem.
