Saw is running well after replacement of carburetor.
Installed carb on Stihl MS180 saw. Carb works great. Used the rest of the kit on my 017 saw. The included fuel tube and filter were useful. The included oil pump and oil line repaired the lack of oil to the bar. Removing the handle in order to access the oil pump and oil line was a nightmare due to bad advice on U-Tube. The shop manual for this model saw is available as a free download. I would advise getting the manual before starting work on the saw. This saw sat for at least 15 years after my friend said it was not worth a d***. His widow gave me the saw. The fact that the chain was on backwards might have had an adverse effect on the ability to cut wood.Follow up: The carb was installed on my MS180 saw and works great. The rest of the kit was used on the 017 saw. I had purchased a second carb kit for the 017 That carb had an issue with connecting the throttle linkage. Two saws, two kits caused my confusion about the carburetor.

Stihl MS180C great fit
These are good parts for the price. Like others say it runs a bit high on the idle (not an issue) and the fuel line was a bit thicker than the oem hose (not an issue). It worked great. I replaced everything it came with just for the sake of knowing they wouldn't be an issue for a while. I got an MS180C from a guy that put straight gas in it and blew a hole in the piston the size of a quarter so I replaced the block and piston and it wouldn't run right so I bought this Carburetor and it works great again. Not bad for $100 saw.

Fuel Line from tank to carb too large for MS180 C Styhl saw...but carb good.
I at least replaced the fuel tank filter-but the line itself was too large to get through the hole of the fuel tank, I did not want to enlarge the tank hole it to accommodate it...so I left the old fuel line on and just replaced the filter. I replaced the carb and it runs fine. Just be ready to pull and pull and pull before the start until the new carb is saturated with fuel and the jets are all primed before it runs. Now it will start in 2 pulls and runs like new. I recommend this option if your saw is cutting out at half throttle, will not run at full throttle. Also, I will buy TruFuel for it to keep the ethanol out of it...which caused this problem to begin with.

It works!
Matched up perfectly started on second pull no adjustments necessary. This MS 180 is running like a raped ape now. It was brand new, neighbor only used for a quick start/saw/stop demo, less than 10 minutes run time then put on a shelf in their garage where it sat untouched for over 5 years. Fast forward to "saw won't start for anything" and lots of starter pulling, time and profanities. The cost of the carb rebuild kit vs this whole new carb and other goodies made this purchase an easy choice. At this point I have no need to use the other items included. Less than $20 parts and barely one hour shop time. The "deal" with the neighbors was that if I can get it started then cut a few small trees for them, it would become mine. Add 2 1/2 hours tree cutting time for the neighbors to the cost of part and shop time and I'm as pleased with the saw deal as I am with the purchase of the carb kit. EASY FIX thanks to this item!

Great Fit!!
perfect for what I needed

Excellent replacement carburetor for my Stihl SM170.
I received everything I needed to get my chainsaw running again, it took about an hour to install, about half that was cleaning the chainsaw of oil And dirt. That puppy cranked up on the 2nd pull. The old fuel line was collapsed. I assume it was because of the ethanol add to the fuel I was using. I’ll be using TruFuel from now on. If you have access to YouTube they have great videos for installation.

Excellent Replacement
My Stihl chainsaw never ran very well, always a fight to get it started and keep it going. Turned out it was not assembled properly to start with, and I fixed that, but with intermittent use and all the delays the original carb got gummed up. Tried to rebuild it, no good. So I bought this one, put it in, and it fired up after a few yanks and now runs the way it was supposed to. The idle speed was a bit high out of the box but I adjusted it. Very happy. BTW, it comes with a bunch of extra fittings for different models as well as a fuel filter and spark plug. Go for it.
