Bought for a college class women’s US history and loved this book. This was pretty much all we did in class and for homework was read this book cover to cover and detailed notes on it. Great read

what i needed for the class

Title says it all. It is a concise history and a useful companion to a new student trying to keep it all straight. It is concise, but it does not have an incomplete quality to it. Well written. Very useful resource when writing papers.

I had to read this book for a history course, and I was prepared for another dry, dusty history tome. I was pleasantly surprised to find that this book was not dry and dusty! It is packed with incredible information about women from all walks of life, including personal stories about hardship and tragedy. It really gave me a new appreciation for the feminine struggle for equality and civil rights.
