This splitter supports charging electronics? i'm trying to charge multiple items though my ps4 usb port.

I would think so, although I have nevertried it. It is a device that splits a usb port to make two usb ports. I doubt it would harm anything if you tried it.

Usually a charger cable has the power connector on one end and a female USB on the other end si that you can connect it to your device (phone, computer, etc). But your computer may only have one USB input port that you don't want to lose, having a charger connected to it. OK, then get what you say a Y-shaped cable with one male USB on one end (for your computer which is expecting a male input) and two female USBs on the other end. You are thinking right. One of the two female USBs can then be hooked up to your charger while the other female USB is free to be used for something else (like an external disc drive, a mouse receiver, a printer, etc.) Make sure, of course, that your charger cable has the correct USB output plug on it, however, to charge your computer system.

Will this device allow you to connect two computers to the same printer?

No. One of the female ends is only for charging. No data.

seems to work for reading files in testing

I bought this to split the usb dongle at the back of my Nakamichi NAM1712 I am installing in my mk4 GTI, will be connecting a 2 lead usb housing replacing the cigarette lighter assembly. as the removal of the cig lighter assembly requires a special tool, which I had to order, I tested this in the usb of my desktop with both leads of the usb round housing attached, and it did work, both the usb A read a thumb drive with mp3's on it, and the usb C read a small microSD reader with mp3's on it. So it should do exactly what I need it to.

Works well but not super fast for Tesla drives

Charging ability is solid and it works well for splitting ports. Cable quality feels good and connectivity is stable. Charging speed is fine for phones, but my Tesla showed a notification to plug the flash drive directly for faster speeds. Cable length is handy and overall it gets the job done.

works great on "lower power" but my fully lighted keboard is a bit much loadmfor it keyboard will blink randomly

Connection issues after 8 months

Worked for 8 months, now started disconnecting intermittently multiple times in a row for no reason. I have tried multiple different ports, all have the same issue. I have pugged my devices directly into the USB port and they work no problem so its definitely this cable. To test, I left the cable plugged in with nothing plugged into it and it still had the same intermittent disconnection happening (my PC makes a sound when a USB device is connected or disconnected so I know its losing connection as the sound is playing randomly). I will have to find a different solution as its gotten so bad I can't use my mouse reliably (one of the devices plugged into it). I would look for some other cable. Cables should last for 20+ years not 8 months.
