Low cost, dependable, and easy to use!
My current brand name scanner cost well over $130 when I bought it and I thought this would not compare to it at all. I was wrong.I use this at a cellphone dealer, where many of the barcodes on the phones can be quite tiny, or in the case of the iPhone boxes, tiny, and faint (some iDiot - see what I did there? - decided they should have grey barcodes on a white background) which some scanners have difficulty with. Also works perfectly fine with huge barcodes (at least half a foot long) like you see on some shipping labels.I have had 0 problems with this scanner after using it for a few months. The manual is written in Chenglish, and not very helpful, but if you've ever used a scanner before, you won't need it. It is completely plug and play with no programming needed. Has a VERY bright green LED at the top (I ended up using electric tape to cover 2/3rds of it as it could almost substitute as a flashlight). The build quality is really great, I've thrown it down a few times and never had to worry about it breaking apart as it feels pretty solid. It's also very ergonomic and feels great in the hand.Would recommend this for any small business that doesn't want to invest a lot of money into equipment. I'll definitely be buying more when I begin to upgrade my other computers which currently use PS/2 scanners.

Working well so far...
It installed very easily and there is a bit of a learning curve with this, but once you get the hang of it, it's an awesome tool to have. I first tried it with Excel and Access, but found I would have to do too much keying in of info. I decided to scan the ISBN's directly into my turbo lister, and then do a search. It helps to choose the item category each time, but since most of my books / items, are in like new condition, I am just making use of the existing info provided from the internet, when it is found. I may still have to initially, key in info for shipping, returns, etc., but this tool has cut down quite a bit of manual entry work for me. I am so happy I purchased this, best $20+, I ever invested.

Inexpensive choice that works pretty well
The continuous mode was not very precise at reading labels, sometimes scanning twice by mistake. I took it off the cash register and now use it for checking products into inventory. It stopped working after a couple of weeks. Then we discovered the cord was not fully plugged into the scanner. One tip, you can reset the scanner using the Restore Factory Settings barcode in the manual. Another way of resetting is by holding the trigger in for about 7 seconds until it beeps a few times.

Poor Quality
Dislike. If you are a Mac user this . barcode scanner times out and you have to unplug and replug back in and rescan codes for it to work. If you are working with it without any breaks at all....then it does work as intended but again if you stop for a 5 minute and literally 5 minutes then scanner doesn't work until you reboot it. :( . You get what you pay for I guess

Works well for light use
No installation software (most bar code scanners don't need it and essentially emulate a USB keyboard), and for 1/5 the price, works as well as our $100 scanner. It might not survive the constant use of a heavy retail or industrial environment, but it works, and works well. I used it to do equipment inventory in several small offices. It read the model, serial number, and our custom asset tags flawlessly, with a decent range and fast acquisition. The model I received wasn't Neewer-branded, but is otherwise identical to the product images.

Works ok for the price
Works great when it decides it wants to work correctly. About two months after purchasing, it hasn't been scanning all the numbers in the barcode. I unplug and re-plug it into the computer, but it still doesn't scan all the numbers - and then the next day it will work fine. Weird. Anyway, when it works, it's a good buy for the low price.
