Ambessa: Chosen of the Wolf: A League of Legends: Arcane Novel (Arcane: a League of Legends) Hardcover – February 18, 2025

C.L. Clark did a great job! I learned about this book from WILLA over on the clock app and IMMEDIATELY ordered it because I high key loved the Arcane series and had run out of fan reviews and analysis content. My my my, Clark did her big one with bringing the characters to life, weaving in golden nuggets from the series and gamelore into this book. You get to see the roots (and eventual ruin) of Ambessa. The Medardas are a mess…Clark really lays out their world, culture, beliefs and alliances. As busy as I was last week and this week, I churned through this page turner at a delightful speed. This book really fills out the Medarda parts of the Arcane series universe. It also sets up the beef between Ambessa and the Black Rose. So many good secondary characters are brought in and it only gets me more ready for the next season of Arcane. Now we need a pre-mage Mel novel before the next season drops!!!

As someone who loves League of Legends and Arcane, reading this was such a wonderful treat. The women in it are so strong 💖

It has a bit of a slow start because it is the novelization of the music video, BUT I was soon hooked by CL Clark’s writing. I want a book about RELL please! And! Highly recommend the other books by this author as well. I feel like the arcane show followed similar story beats!

This was so good. It also made my dislike for Ambessa grow even more. She's awful but also a very interesting character.I adored Mel even more, too, and Rictus and Rell were also very entertaining.Can't wait to read/see more of this world.

picked this up after loving Arcane season 2, lived up to the Ambessa I know and love from the show!!! Awesome story :)))

LOVED THISI loved reading up on ambessa and the Medardas backstory. it touched up on things arcane didn’t get into with characters backstory. the characters are very well written and I’m excited to see more of Mel and rell in future riot series hopefully.

“Ambessa” has much of what I loved about Arcane season 1. Character driven, and the perspective into Ambessa was beautifully written. Ambessa in the show is a nuanced, multilayered character, embodying strength yet is utmost devoted to her family- and these qualities are expanded upon in her backstory. Highly recommend
