This universal remote is less “remote” and more “handheld weapon of mass channel-changing.” It’s so solid I dropped it on my foot and had to sit down. The remote’s fine. My dignity? Less so.Feels like it was forged in the same factory that made 90s Magnavox TVs and unbreakable childhood memories. You don’t hold it — you wield it.It controls everything: TV, soundbar, streaming box, possibly the weather (jury’s still out). Setup was easy — I just pointed it and the devices surrendered.My toddler threw it down the stairs. It left a dent. We lost our remote for our Samsung Tv and this one worked immediately after we held it up to the tv and paired. So simple and it added voice control. Love it.

Mine worked great right out of the box.The power on/off, mute, and volume buttons all function perfectly.However, I discovered the menu and other buttons do not function.I suspect I need to enter a different code, but the small instruction sheet was thrown away.CAN ANYONE POST A PICTURE OF THE CODE SHEET, PLEASE?

Works perfectly - no setup or 'coding' required. Don't miss the alphanumeric buttons on the back surface, seldom if ever used them anyway, although some might feel the loss. They do work on the old original remote, so I'm keeping it just in case. On the negative side, the plastic housing feels a little flimsy, and I had (and have) trouble getting the battery cover off. It certainly doesn't slide off as easily as the enclosed instructions imply. Had to use the blade of a knife to get it started. Overall I'm quite satisfied.

It would be good to know if you are suppose to have the Vizio Television turned ON before you start THIS universal remote, as it doesNOT tell you in their little amount of directions on the piece of paper that comes with the remote.If this remote’s ( piece of paper), called directions, would of showed what every single button is suppose to do I might of kept it, but NO, I will be returning it.Of course as in all other remotes I have owned, I went directly to the battery compartment put in the batteries and pushed power button on this universal remote well NOYou are to not TOUCH any buttons on the remote UNTIL You READ the first line of instructions which SPECIFICALLY says pit batteries in and TRY it ( what they mean is TOTALLY it should just start working.Well no it doesn't! not on this remote anyway So I did A1. instruction then A.2) and Remote still not working on my Vizio television thst has the HDMI 1 hook up to our CABLE device and our HDMI 2 hook up to our FireTV streaming device.But on instruction A.3) it says to check the function of the REMOTE !What remote are they talking about , is it their REMOTE or my VIZIO television remote or my cable tv remote or my Fire TV remote ??????This company wherever it is from does not give directions so that someone who knows Nothing about remotes other than turning them on knows what they mean by check the FUNCTION of the REMOTE!Direction need to be very very specific and BIT generalized . from #3 direction on I donot know of I am suppose to go on and do B. C.D. or what .They should of said if A. directions donot work do B.If B directions doNot work do C, If C. doesn't work do D.And I canNOT ask them directly because Amazon artificial intelligence tries to answer pre conceived questions which mine was NOT so I need to talk to the company customer service but CANNOT because there is NO listing for them not an email address or phone number , Nothing!

It worked on my 2025 The Frame TV - better than advertised!

Love this! Worked right away did not need programming. It was a little tough getting batteries in but worth it!
