Trip Machine Company Leather Motorcycle Grips Wrap

Really disappointed overall and surprised by all the positive reviews. The leather looks great when it arrives. Was very excited. After a couple of trials (with the tape cover on) for positioning, finally removed sticky cover and did the wrap. Looked great. First issue - when you cut it and use the glue, the glue came loose after a few rides thankfully the 3M tape still holds but makes the glue for the corners redundant and will start to peel back after more rides. Within 5 rides, the leather edges as softening and rolling inwards. The leather is also so smooth it's not great for leather gloves, you have to squeeze the grips quite tight to hold the throttle in place not to slip back and that isn't ideal especially for long rides. The 3M tape, while it grips super well, is way too thick so the grip is 'lumpy' is the best word I can use to describe it. I would suggest a thin double sided tape and this way it can spread the whole width of the strap rather than just in the center, creating the lumps. It's a shame as I was super excited to get these.

Esteticamente direi che sono eccezionali in quanto da quel tocco cafè Racer alla moto.Le ho montate su una thruxton nera e l'effetto visivo mi piace molto. Pratiche da montare?....serve un po' di manualità.Allo spacchettamento ovviamente sono tutte arrotolate e sembrano anche deformate ma in fase di montaggio basta tirarle un po' mentre le si avvolgono alla manopola e vedi che non esiste più nessuna deformazione. Le ho montate andando dall'esterno verso l'interno,applicando qualche goccia di colla (in dotazione) per bloccare la presa sull'ultimo pezzo di benda. La benda è più lunga di quanto ne possa servire quindi consiglio di fare un montaggio di prova per capire più o meno dove tagliare.La striscia adesiva al centro permette di poterla posizionare facilmente. Le ho montate da 2 mesi circa e ovviamente sotto il sole tendono a sbiadire aumentandone l'effetto vintage. La pelle rimane morbida.Purtroppo il grip con la mano o col guanto tende a diminuire un po' rispetto alla gomma originale della manopola ma non lo vedo come un grosso problema. Consiglio......provate un montaggio così da capire come fare finire il taglio della benda sotto la manopola.
