An absolutely fantastic iPad model well worth the upgrade!
So I'd decided to upgrade from the iPad 9th Generation to the 10th mainly because I really loved the pink and I'd got a grey one that I hated (😂) but still I'm so glad that I did upgrade because not only does the pink look absolutely beautiful but also there's a significant improvement in a wide range of elements such as the camera, visual and audio quality which makes it well worth the money. The screen quality is fantastic and super high definition which makes watching videos a great experience, the speakers sound crystal clear even at loud volumes making it an ideal device for streaming music without the necessary need for a bluetooth speaker, the system runs so smoothly and responds fast with no lag, freezing or crashing, plus the photos and videos both look significantly better quality than the previous iPad models. It's compatible with all the Apple pencils and has a magnetic part on the side which the pencil connects to, I have the 1st gen pencil and even though it requires a slightly different connection procedure, it still works fantastic and fluently with no issues. The battery life is brilliant and a full charge seems to last me up to a full day or even beyond depending on how much I'm using it, it charges up pretty fast and doesn't drain quickly unlike my 9th gen which I was convinced had battery problems from the start! Even though I'd usually get a larger storage size than 64gb (I didn't want to fork out a ton more money on a 256gb model as I have a Mac and iPhone), I've still got all the apps I want on it along with all my videos, notes, photos etc with plenty of storage left, plus I try to use my devices for different purposes so I don't need all the apps that I've got on my phone that I take out with me on my iPad which I always leave at home.Even though it's smaller in size than my 9th gen model, it's got a much wider screen which graciously makes up for the small decrease in its physical size, plus it's been much more ideal for me to use with ease because even though I obviously want something that's bigger than my small iPhone 13, I have small hands so I don't want to feel uncomfortable struggling to hold a massive tablet, especially whilst in bed, but this has been the perfect size for me. I also really like that this iPad has a rounder shape with smooth edges which just makes it even more comfortable to hold and I think it makes its whole appearance look a lot nicer too, especially with a case on. It's such a premium, strong, durable build even though I think it feels a lot lighter than previous iPads and you can really both see and feel the quality, making its price tag very justifiable. This is the first iPad I believe which has a USB C charger rather than a lightning one and it also doesn't have a home button which has been a little strange for me and took a bit of getting used to (along with remembering what each of the side buttons do and where they're located as I'm pretty sure they're also different to the previous models and I kept mixing up which buttons turns the volume up and down!) but it's not really been a big issue at all for me and it means the screen gets to be bigger which is the most important part so I can't complain!I definitely feel like I've still got a lot more to discover as I haven't had the iPad too long but I've covered the most important parts of the iPad, it has lots of fantastic, new features and abilities (including the Touch ID now being on the power button rather than the home button!) and it's just so much fun to use whether it's for gaming or just general social media, online shopping, TikTok and YouTube like me. It's a brilliant model that's well worth buying, I bought it for £309 which is a lot for a 2022 model however it seems to be the same price (if not cheaper) brand new from other retailers like John Lewis, Curry's, Very etc and not an awful lot cheaper on eBay, even to buy second hand so it was definitely still worth buying off here as I have Prime membership and always feel covered if there's any issues or I need to return the item. I received it the following evening after I'd purchased it from DPD rather than the Amazon delivery van but still it arrived safely with no damage and the product worked perfectly so that wasn't a problem at all as I've had multiple amazon deliveries arrive from other delivery companies.I'd 100% recommend this as both an upgrade or a first iPad as it's just an overall fantastic model and a huge refresh from the previous models which never seemed to be too different from one another! I'm very happy with my purchase and I'm sure even if Apple released an 11th gen I wouldn't want to upgrade as I'm in love with both how it looks and how it works! 😍

iPad
The iPad is great for my needs. It gets five stars for that. As for the rest I must express my disappointment. The iPad A16 came out about one day after I made this purchase. I work 24 hour shifts for three weeks at a time or four weeks at a time which was the case and although I tried it was impossible to swap because I couldn’t leave my working place nor have Royal Mail to collect it. I tried returning the item to buy the new one but I couldn’t. I felt a bit conned to be honest. I understand that Amazon needs to get rid of what they have in stock but I mean, a brand new model came out literally one day after. I’m so disappointed. The 10th generation one is great and although it’s similar to the A16 I feel I lost money. I lost, you won! Fair play?

Bought as a gift
Bought as a gift. The receiver was very happy with it. The screen quality is good, it's pretty easy to use even for non ios users and the fact that it can be connected to a bigger screen via an hdmi cable is an added bonus

Check you have an adapter for charge cable!
Only received this item last night so not really had a chance to use it. It replaced an old iPad which had broken. Our only problem was there was a different charge cable, fortunately we had an adapter to use. Haven’t checked if this info is in the description?

Make sure you have a suitable charging arrangement
Replacement to my previous iPad that just stopped working and wouldn’t reset or do anything. I don’t do much so didn’t need a high spec all bells and whistles and this is just right for my usage.Easy to buy and reasonably easy to set up and retrieve my profile from iCloud as well as my saved data and photos. So glad that I had started to take backing up seriously! So far it’s working as it should and battery last a full day plus a bit sometimes.Slightly larger screen than my old iPad.The iPad didn’t come with a plug just a type c cable at both ends and I didn’t have a suitable plug for charging until husband offered a spare one he had for something else. I couldn’t transfer some music from my laptop ( very old) and have purchased a type a to type c cable which has done the job but I am now using that as my main charging cable. I’m not sure about the thinking behind type c at both ends. Maybe I’m just way behind the curve on technology!

New iPad!
A little disappointed as it does not appear to have face recognition!
