One Fast Cat Exercise Wheel, Gen 7, Safe 48” Diameter, Made in the USA

So glad I bought this, only wish I got it sooner! I have three cats ( one 13 lb large 5 y/o, one 11 lb medium 5 y/o, and one 10 lb small 2 y/o). Initially, I bought this wheel for my 2 y/o because her energy is never ending and she likes to harass her siblings. However, my larger cat, whom I didn’t think would ever use the wheel, has officially fallen in love with it! She is on it throughout the day, while she hasn’t figured out she can run on it, she keeps up a brisk pace for a bit and it has actually helped her shed a little bit of weight in the 2 months she’s used it. My 2 y/o used it at first but stopped after she got a bit too excited and almost went flying off, however she has recently started using it again. The quality seems good, solid and easy to assemble. The instructions were extremely easy to follow along and I had it assembled alone in about 15 minutes. The paddings are soft and very sticky, my cats like to kneed it and nothing has budged nor torn so that’s a good sign. There is some noise, however, in comparison to a friend’s wheel, this one is definitely on the quieter side, I’ve never been woke up by the wheel or them running on the wheel. So far I have no issues with it, no sliding even when my cats launch themselves onto it. There was a squeaking noise from the wheels in the beginning, however after a week or so it disappeared. Definitely recommend and will update if anything changes. 7/2026 Update My larger cat still LOVES this wheel. She has lost her unnecessary weight that I and her vet were having a hard time getting her to lose. I think it also gives her something to do when I’m gone since I work 24 shifts and can’t always play with her. My younger cat is finally back on it and enjoying it. However her favorite thing to do is to scratch at it before she walks which unfortunately over the months has caused the felt to have some almost small lifting of the surface felt, but no tearing of the felt or felt pads being lifted off the wheel. You can barely tell unless you get up really close to the wheel. I do wish the adhesive rubber anti slip pads at the bottom stayed on a bit better. (Although that might just be because my younger cat likes to sprint across the house to get onto the wheel and hits it like a missile.) So if you’re cat likes to launch at it be aware that the pads might slid off the bottom, what I did is cleaned off any debris and left over adhesive on it and added super glue before placing it back onto the bottom. It’s held on since. No other issues with the wheel, my two cats love it and it was a great investment to brighten their day to day lives.

So we have had this for a week now. We have 7 cats. We had two. And then over the last year we added 5 more as there was an explosion of abandoned cats! We are continually having to add new enrichment because we were not prepared for seven rambunctious furballs. Cat highways, climbing stuff, you name it. So we saw this idea and after researching options we knew we wanted big. It’s important that cats can stretch out while they run. And One Fast Cat seemed to be the brand recommended all over the internet. Even for its name recognition and size, it was fairly priced. The wooden types just really didn’t seem well made. I am so glad we went with this one! It is sturdy although amazingly light weight! It is huge, but exactly what it needed to be. It was packaged with care, so easy to put together, and looks really sleek! The carpet gives them good traction but they don’t get their claws stuck. It has been such fun to watch it in action! Oh, and this one doesn’t have a latch to lock it in place, but it is quiet! Ours is on old wood floor with no underlayment and we never hear it. Tips: Silverdine (or catnip) will make them get on it. To nap. The feather toy idea wasn’t working but the laser pointer made it happen and now they get it on it randomly on their own. So far only two have perfected the run, but it’s only been a week.

I'm pretty happy with the quality. Assembly was easy alone. I am concerned with the exposed wheels, can't a cat's tail get caught in that really easily? I have two cats and maybe one might get too close on the outside. There might be a slight problem with the unit I got, no matter what I do the track shifts to one side and causes squeaking on one wheel, which also slows it down. Lastly, the whole assembly can wobble if you put it on carpet. If the bases were wider it might be better, although it'd take up more space. I don't have enough space on the wood floor in my apartment for it. My cats haven't fully learned to use it yet but I'm excited for them to try. Update: About 1 month later, both my cats have learned to use it and enjoy it. They meow at me to watch and encourage them haha. I am keeping the 4 star review, the one wheel still squeaks at low speeds in one direction and I can see how the wheels will wear down over time, but they still move smoothly. The fabric on the inside has started to fray a little. It would be nice if the outside of the wheel was more than just the plastic bottom of the track, which can scratch you if you try to stop it from there. I'm also weary of how easy it is for the wheel to come off the tracks, you just have to lift it. I wish it would lock or secure somehow, but I'm sure there's a reason for that. Those are just some notes and areas for improvement in my opinion, but I don't regret purchasing.

We've had the 7th Generation OneFastCat wheel for a few weeks now, and our cats have been testing it out at every turn and they love it! As longtime fans of OneFastCat and having owned many, many of their cat wheels over the years, I can confidently say this 7th generation is their best design yet. Putting it together was a breeze—it snaps together intuitively in under 15 minutes, even with my curious cats helping me out! At 48 inches, this wheel is big enough to keep even my largest Savannah cats entertained. The redesigned base is solid and stable, with no wobbles at all, even when my biggest cats are running at full speed. The wheels now sit inside the base plate, giving it a cleaner, sleeker look. Plus, the switch to stainless steel pins makes attaching the wheels super easy. It’s light enough to move from room to room, so we can watch all the antics as they run on the wheel, tearing around and burning off their energy! The interior felt pads are a fantastic upgrade from the old foam ones. They’re tougher, look nicer, and switching to felt means no more little foam shreds. Another cool feature is the optional felt pads for the exterior, which give the wheel a stylish, almost luxury vibe. The felt is also replaceable, with different colors and designs available, so you can easily change things up whenever you feel like it. Overall, the OneFastCat exercise wheels have been a total game-changer for my high-energy cats. Regular exercise helps them maintain a healthy weight, keeps their moods up, and cuts down on destructive behavior since they’re busy burning off their energy. They jump on it throughout the day and night, happily running to their hearts’ content. Also of note, one of the best things is how much quieter it is—even at night, you can sleep peacefully while they run. As for durability, I’m confident this 7th generation model will hold up well. They offer a 45-day risk-free trial, so really, what do you have to lose? Training does take a little effort, but using a laser pointer, a wand toy, or some treats can get them started. Once they catch on, they’ll be zooming on it in no time. It’s definitely worth the effort—and your cat deserves it! 10/10 would recommend.

Love the treadmill! We had a smaller one and I can see the difference in her stride. It is very quiet. I would definitely recommend this treadmill!

We really wanted to like this wheel and were hoping it would be a great exercise for our cat, but it ended up being a nightmare. We bought this for our kitten, which we found through the kitten distribution system. She's very energetic and loves to chase toys, so we figured a wheel would be the best option. Everything seemed easy to install, but there were a few dangerous flaws that became apparent after the first couple of uses. First, the track has to be attached to the individual parts, which leaves a small crack in between each piece (see picture). We noticed that after the 3rd time on the wheel, our cat would be licking her paw constantly. We found that she had a mark on her paw, almost like a cut mark, that looked close to bleeding. The only thing on the track that could cause it is the line flaw, since we triple checked everything when we built it, and it only happened after running on the wheel. The second dangerous thing was the wheel itself. Not sure if we have bad luck, but our wheel began wobbling, and it seems like there's possibly a defect in the part that stabilizes the wheel. The last straw for the wheel was watching our kitten get tossed against the wall because of the wobble. She's now very scared to even go near the wheel and we've had to take her to the vet twice now because falling off may have caused her to get a swollen bladder. Here's the annoying part: the part that says free returns is a complete lie. The return must go directly to the company and the company only accepts the return if it is completely disassembled and returned in its original condition, IF you pay for the return label, to which doing so costs almost as much as the item itself, $100+ to send back. They expect you to pay to send back their dangerous product on your own dime (even when it says free returns) and they won't even refund you if it's assembled, since the track pad glues onto the wheel. Amazon was of no help in the matter and the seller refuses to accept it back. Please do not bother choosing this cat wheel as we deeply regret it due to the flaws and now we are stuck with an expensive product that we can't return and is a danger to our cat.

Update: 5 days. No treats or feathers needed. Charlie and Skiptoo are now pros on the wheel. They both run an average of a dozen times a day, that we know of. The wheel is in our office/studio, so not sure how much they run when we are not in the room. It is in a cat's nature to run fast. This seems to give them something they can't get indoors - limitless running. We have a small home but it has 3 open levels so the cats are constantly running up and down the steps, but no matter how much they run they always encounter a dead-end. They have found they can run with no limits on the wheel. Always hesitant about ordering for cats. They are picky. If you are the same, stop and order this. We have had it 3 days and 2 of our boys are enjoying it. I had Charlie Potatoes running within minutes of setting it up. Did not bother with Skiptoo becasue he is a bit dumb. Wanted to get Charlie trained on it first. Charlie was on and off for the few minutes I was working with him. And I did a little yesterday. I am against lasers becasue I think they can mess with a cat's brain, so I used a feather stick. He chased it a bit but not enough for me to get excited. I just received a free pack of Churu bites in a pet food order and since Charlie loves his Churo's, I gave him one near the wheel (he has never had the bites) and held another half way up on the wheel. He went to town, so I gave the second bite, told him he was a good boy and went back to my computer. Suddenly, I heard the wheel going round and round. It was Skiptoo, training himself, running as fast as he could. So I don;t guess he is so dumb, after all. About 10 minutes the later the wheel started up again and it was Charlie Potatoes running like he was chasing game in the Serengeti. I am certain they were following the smell and looking for game. So keep that in mind. I would find a new treat and use it solely for a reward on the wheel, keeping it away from their regular dining area and other treats. I gave it 5 stars becasue it works. And, boy, was it easy to put together. It is bit cheap looking and I am not sure how long the felt padding will last, but the cats could care less. Bottom line - YAY!

This is literally my cats' {Puff & Pete} first exposure to the wheel... & you can see how useful a simple laser pointer is in encouraging them to experiment with it. The 48 inch size makes a huge difference; even slightly smaller radii were not roomy enough to accommodate the length of my larger cat's {Pete's} body comfortably stretched out at a full gallop— but 48" is enough to really let him stretch out & grab with those front paws while his hindquarters gallop along really comfortably in a way he would never be able to do inside otherwise... and among available models, this appears to be the most affordable of good quality at that size. I also like the felt material rather than looped carpet that seems like it could potentially trap a claw. I eventually set this on top of a fairly flimsy plastic 3-deck rack that would be pretty easy to push over from the side, & would seem kinda wobbly if you just shook it, but do realize that once this starts spinning, it's *gyroscopically self-stabilizing* to the vertical plane, and inherently resists lateral tipping. I wish there were a way to provide variable resistance {some other manufacturers include an adjustable friction brake}, as it would be easier for them to learn to slow to a stop on a wheel that was not *initially* so "slippery" (so to speak)— tho this IS a great friction coefficient once the kitties get used to it. [You can see that Pete gets carried around backwards when he tries to stop at first.] Pete has continued to hop on this for several minutes every few hours, while Puff is not *yet* all that interested in it yet except to watch Pete on it, which she does intently. I also find it really endearing and a sign of a great pet toy company that they outline places to cut holes in the box it shipped in to make a play house for your cats... which BOTH animals love enormously. Excellent touch! It is especially perfect that there is only one hole big enough for Pete to get into, but Puff can zip in and out of multiple smaller holes to ambush & evade him. A highly recommended purchase.
