LiveUSolo Wireless Live Video Streaming Encoder Facebook Live, Twitch, YouTube, and Twitter Live Video Streams

The LiveU Solo is an amazing piece of equipment. I use it with the Blackmagic Atem Mini Extreme which is actually not reliable. The Atem buffers often where the LiveU Solo does not. It streams consistently at around 7.8 Mbps to Youtube and can go under 1 Mbps without losing a frame or any sound. It streams perfect every time.

We are one of the congregations taking responsible measures for health and safety in this Coronavirus time. Our live-streaming capability was crippled by bad software and transmission system. In one easy to use step, this little marvel cured our problems, made our live stream work great and enabled us to remain in contact with those in our congregation. The setup ease was wonderful. The packaging quality told you right away that the manufacturer cared about the presentation of their product. Hook up wires - push a couple of buttons - download a manual and we were up and running in less than an hour, full live-stream ready in a couple more.

I saw the LiveU in action at TwitchCon 2018. Returned home and ordered one immediately to start IRL streaming on Twitch. So far I have had no problems streaming to Twitch using the LiveU Solo. I will be taking this unit internationally very soon and will put it through a lot! So far all my cellular modems have worked—plug and play, one Verizon modem required the latest firmware to be manually requested from support which the turnaround was very quick! The company cares about its customers. I would recommend this product to someone who is very serious about IRL streaming on Twitch.

Lacks a lot of useful features that require more expensive upgrades. Boasts "cellular bonding" but you need to pay for their service to use it, which is $45 a month.

Its awkward in some ways, like when you make a 'Facebook Live' stream profile and want to make small changes to it, you cant.. and have to delete and recreate. Also the front panel is low quality and clunky. (not the video showing your input).Then you have to pay $50/month to use the only feature that others dont have (bonding 2 internet providers).Then, the support... I dont buy products that are not supported. I called and emailed them about an issue a week ago. I am sticking with Epiphan.. Cheaper, better, and get chat response within 1 minute.

I don't like the UI as much but it does what it needs to do. Just make sure that you purchase the bonding service because it doesn't do it out of the box. It needs its cloud bonding solution. It's like 500 a year. worth it if you consider your streaming serious. I just wish it had more support for usb modems and an auto-connect fault tolerance connection method for when your not bonding and using multiple connections.

The mini preview display is handy and provides view of output video from unit.Battery life 2+ hours. Internal fan keeps unit warm not hot. Very stable and high qualityvideo stream. I love this product honestly. Livestreming itself is Soooo complicated and I know NOTHING about it, but this device makes a difficult thing very easy and intuitive. I’ve had no problems with it so far. My only complaint would be that after a lot of usage nonstop if it is in an enclosed compartment it will get very hot, but honestly my modems all over heat before this thing does, so it’s not even an actual problem. I really like this device haha, it’s awesome
