3 different settings but basically stays on about 15 secs as you approach and can be set to dim after that or stay on constantly on a dim setting. Can charge from mains or use solar charging. The solar panel is on the back of the clip so it must be attached to either glass or a pole or fence that does not obscure it. I used it on a rylock fence to light my approach to the car down a muddy slope and it was perfect. It might not be as adjustable as ground staked or wall mounted versions but is readily movable. Highly recommend.

This solar recharging light works really well - the mounting brackets are a bit unusual as it is designed primarily for clipping to the edge of a roof etc. but once mounted it works brilliantly. It's a simple two-screw bracket that is easy to mount on to a surface and the light just slides in to a slot, it's been up for over a month now and has been recharging sufficiently during the day to work all the way through the night when triggered, which is really good for this time of year. The motion detection works well and the modes can be switched deopending on need, I have it set to stay on for 15 seconds after being trigggered which seems to work well. It's saved me the cost of running cables and switches to a remot location so definitely value for money.

I wanted a bit more brightness in my backyard, especially near the gate. This light seemed like a good solution, and I liked the option of using solar or USB power.It was easy to clip onto my fence. The motion sensor works well, and the light is bright enough to illuminate the area when I walk by. I like having different lighting modes. I usually leave it on the motion-activated setting.We had a few days of cloudy weather, and I was glad I could charge it with the USB-C port. It kept the light working even when there was no sun. It feels sturdy and has held up well to the weather.It's a practical light for my yard. It gives me a sense of security and makes it easier to navigate at night. For the price, it’s a good value, and I'm happy with how it works.

Worked for one charge then didn't work again

YZYOE Outdoor Solar Clip LightA nice wee outdoor solar light with one major flaw. The solar panel isn't big enough to charge the battery during a Scottish winter.Mind you, even if the panel was ten times bigger it still probably wouldn't be enough.It's saving grace is that the battery can be recharged via USB cable.Having the solar panel physically attached to the reverse of the light also limits its location possibilities.Although it does work as intended, I prefer using it as a portable light by using it on setting 3 with the sensor covered. It's great for working in a garage where it can easily be attached using the spring clip.The included information sheet gives instructions on how to replace the battery, so I gave it a go.Unscrew the four screws holding the LED panel by using a PH0 driver and lift off.The 18650 1500mAh is easily accessible. Although soldered in, it can easily be upgraded to a higher capacity 18650 battery.Strangely there was no sealing gasket between the cover and LED housing, it was just plastic to plastic. I know the LEDs are pointing down but dampness could enter and therefore it's not waterproof. Being IP44 indicates it is water resistant not waterproof.Overall, a nice wee light that is worth a consideration and I will continue to use it but not for the purpose intended.
