CraftiStar Kids Art & Craft Kit - DIY Mini Christmas Tree with Lights, Pipe Cleaner Craft Set, Includes Christmas Tree Ornaments

I ordered 5 of these trees for my grandkids. Initially I thought we could do it as a craft project, but it was too tedious & time consuming for ages 4-10. Also, since the assembly required continuous glue gunning, I was not keen on my grandkids around a hot glue gun.I was very satisfied with the end result, it took me about 2 hours to finish one tree, but I ended up adding a lot more of the pipe cleaners for the tree branches -- the kit called for 35 pieces, I probably used 100 & it turned out really full & nice. Looking forward to giving it to them for the Christmas season to put in each of their rooms.

Great idea and poorly executed.Here’s what you need to know.It requires a hot glue gun. Most people don’t have that . Also, if you have ever used a hot glue gun, you will likely get burned because it’s messy. Especially if you are expected to glue this many tree branches to the tree.They give you 2 small diameter hot glue sticks. These are not the standard type you see on most US hot glue guns . So they are basically useless.Try again because this project needs to go back to the drawing board.

I recently purchased the CraftiStar Kids Christmas Art & Craft Kit to create a fun and festive craft project with my grandson during the holidays. The kit is filled with a variety of materials that are perfect for sparking creativity and bonding over a holiday activity. However, I was somewhat disappointed to find that a majority of the steps in the instructions require the use of a hot glue gun to complete the craft.While I understand that hot glue guns can be an efficient tool for crafting, I wasn't comfortable with the idea of using one for a children's craft, especially since the kit is marketed for kids. As a grandparent, I felt uneasy about the idea of my grandson handling a hot glue gun, and I'm sure many other parents and caregivers would share the same concern. At what age is it safe to allow a child to use such a potentially dangerous tool? I felt this was a significant oversight in the design of the kit, as it could limit the age range of children who can safely use it.Despite this issue, the rest of the kit is quite well-made, with high-quality materials that are clearly durable and enjoyable for kids. The various craft supplies such as pom-poms, glitter, foam pieces, and decorations all seemed great for creating a festive Christmas craft. The instructions are relatively easy to follow, and I can see how the kit could be very fun for older children who are capable of handling a hot glue gun under adult supervision.Overall, I would recommend this kit, but with the important caveat that it requires the use of a hot glue gun for most of the steps. If you already have one on hand or feel comfortable allowing a child to use it, this kit can provide a fun and creative experience. However, if you're looking for a craft kit that is completely kid-friendly without the need for a hot glue gun, this may not be the best option. I’ve given it three stars due to the safety concerns surrounding the glue gun usage, but the rest of the kit’s quality makes it worth considering for families with older children.

This kit is cute. It took a few days to put together and I used tacky glue instead of the included hot glue. I also took a scrap stick and used some of the extra pipe cleaners, as plenty were included, to rig the trunk differently. Overall, it's a nice holiday decoration that my 7 year old enjoyed helping me with and it would also work in a dollhouse with a tall enough ceiling or the height could be adjusted some during construction.

I got this for my husband..this is not a 3plus job..maybe 30 plus ..frustration and fun we shall see how long it takes..better have a good glue gun and hand of steal...merry Christmas 🎄

I bought this for a fun activity to do with my girls over the holidays; they had so much fun doing it and absolutely loved it. Even my young daughter was able to easily participate. You get a lot of decorations and supplies for the price; almost enough to make 2 trees. The design was very intuitive and the directions are easy to follow. The quality was decent as my girls were able to play with it with their barbies and most of the decorations stayed on. However, the stickiness of the gems did not last long. Definitely fun for all ages.

This entertained my niece for a while. She is 10 and it’s fun for kids her age.
