Despite the price. This is THE BEST TOASTER I HAVE EVER OWNED! If you set it between 1-5 and make toast. It remembers how hot it it and pops your toast out at the number you put it at. I am so glad I have this worth every penny!

I bought this as have been shamed by my daughter who thinks I’m cheap so I bought one of the only brands she would buy for kitchen electricals. Is this better than something that costs a third of the price? No idea I do not work for which or wirecutter. I like that the dials appear accurate If you set both sides to the same setting the toast pops up at the same time. But the elements that heat the bread look the same type as any cheapo one. Only time will tell.

Wanted a toaster/kettle that would be aestheticly pleasing to fit with my kitchen decor as well as work well & hopefully have longevity. If you're buying this, your buying it for the aesthetics, if not you're best going for a cheaper run of the mill that will do the same job. Had it 2 weeks now and so far so good! I found for normal sliced bread, toast number 4 is perfect, light golden brown. It fits standard sliced bread no problems (just put it in sideways) and is wide enough for almost doorstop style bread. Haven't used the bagel function, but have tested it and does only heat 1 side as advertised. Only negative is the levers are plastic, not metal as it looks. It a a shame as a toaster at this price/look would warrant finer details like this but still happy.

I bought this toaster nearly 4 years ago, and it is used every day, often several times. It gives consistent browning. We particularly like the bagel setting which toasts only one side.

Had a DeLonghi toaster previously that lasted for years before the heating elements started to fail. Bought this one to replace it but the build quality is no where near as good. It takes longer to toast the bread than the last one too. It does do the job and it looks great but not sure it will last as long as the last one.

Well built 4 slice toaster. Easily the most handsome toaster we've ever had. Looks so nice in our kitchen which has ivory cupboards and black patterned granite worktops. Nice control buttons, easy to operate, everything built to last, lovely job.

Look, if you're super into your toaster buying, then you've probably already figured out that every toaster out there has bad reviews because they either fall apart, don't toast bread evenly, or are just a general fire hazard. This toaster, while more expensive than a toaster realistically should be, is worth it. Not only does it make toast correctly - but it has not yet burnt my house down!
