I’ve got a 2025 Tacoma with a 5′ bed and figured I’d try this cover to clean up the look and get some basic security. Once it was finally on, it looked great — the matte black has a clean, OEM vibe and the material feels solid. It’s been holding up fine in light rain and doesn't rattle while driving.The install though? Kinda a pain. The instructions were tiny, barely helpful, and skipped over some pretty important steps. I had to stop midway and go find a YouTube video to figure out the last part with the clamps. Even then, it didn’t sit flush at first and took a bunch of adjusting to get it to close properly.Also, a few other things bugged me:The sliding mechanism feels a little sticky, especially when it’s hot outside — not exactly a smooth glide.You definitely need two hands to open and close it, which isn't ideal if you're juggling stuff at the tailgate.If you're pretty handy and don't mind troubleshooting, it gets the job done and looks clean. But I wouldn’t recommend it if you're hoping for an easy plug-and-play experience. Decent value for the price, but not without some headaches.

I would not buy again Just because the instructions were horrible. I’m disappointed on how it sits on my bed it’s not sitting square on my bed. The cover is stuck in the closed position. I consider myself pretty savvy extremely disappointed. Going to have to take apart and start all over
