Convenient and safe alternative to bottled water
I buy bottled water in bulk and always feel guilty about the amount of plastic wasted. I wanted a filter that removes chlorine and fluoride as well as contaminants and after reviewing this one, it seemed like the best. I was concerned about the posts that state the prefiltered water leaks into the clean water, but this is very misleading. After receiving my unit and preparing it, I could not be more pleased. What is important is the water absolutely does NOT leak into the filtered water compartment as these are completely separate components and it’s impossible for the prefiltered water to leak out into the filtered compartment if you look at it closely. It only APPEARS to leak out, but it cannot because each compartment is sealed and separated from each other. The water tastes great and filters rather quickly. I fill up a container for the fridge for drinking and I also use it for my coffee, tea and plants as well. It’s a definite recommended item for anyone reading this review.

Works excellently
The filter pitcher works very well. It works quickly. When I fill it up, it takes about 30 minutes for the water to filter through. There is no taste, no smell and when you put a full glass of water up to the light, you do not see any floaty things in the water like you do with tapwater. It is very convenient. I usually fill it up in the morning or at night before I go to bed. For one person, I do go through the whole amount of water usually by the end of the day. I did have some trouble when it originally arrived and I was putting it together. While following the directions, I screwed the filter on and filled up the container with water. The water was overflowing the filter, the washer was not working. I called the company, and the gentleman from customer service was very patient and we realized the washer had been installed upside down. He had me turn it over, screw it back on and fill it up with water. It worked perfectly. I was very grateful for that gentleman who answered the phone. I love this water filter system. The one drawback is if you’re going to buy this for family use it is not a large amount of water. You’d probably fill it up several times a day. Being single I can get away with filling it up once a day and going through it by the end of the day. If you had the room in your refrigerator, you could buy two if you were going to use the system for a family.

Is this a joke??
After waiting a week for the pitcher to arrive I was excited to try it out. Ya know, it's a $100 pitcher and felt a little stupid paying that but if it improves my quality of life, it's well worth it. Started to prime the filter and the bag blew a whole in it, fail. Ok, I don't necessarily need that so I just filled and emptied the pitcher a few times to prime it. The early pour water dam is also a fail as the unfiltered water just pours out the top. When the water is completely filtered and in the bottom receptacle, when pouring the water, the top receptacle starts to fall out. The handle makes squeaking noises when lifting, and I imagine at some point something will break there as the handle moves, fail. The filter improved my water a little bit the TDS is still in the red and there are floaties still in the filtered water. It's going back to the seller because it's not worth the money. It's a nice idea...but they've got a long way to go! I can't believe they're selling this as it is and for $100.

Perfect!
I converted from Zero Water after I read some unsettling news about microplastics in their filtered water. Clearly Filtered was a bit more expensive, but worth every single penny. The water is so fresh and pure tasting I can’t believe it took me this long to convert! The filter (after prepping it) is pretty fast considering how much junk this thing takes out of my tap water. About 1/2 hr to fill the pitcher with filtered water. The only issue I’ve had with the pitcher is if it’s too full (the water waiting to be filtered in the basin) it will leak out from the lid if you try to pour it. I now keep the basin half-full to avoid this. I also wish that the pitcher was fully closed over the spout. I keep the pitcher on my counter and I worry about an occasional bug making its way in. That’s a minor issue, for sure though.I highly recommend getting yourself this top notch water filter!
