Pro Point Mortar & Grout Gun Kit

Mixed success in pointing up a wall with this equipment. Using the nozzle for mortar worked well when there was enough width to put the tip of the nozzle into the space between the rows of bricks. If there was not enough clearance, the mortar mix was inevitably deposited on the bricks as well. Could do with a slimmer nozzle so will probably cut back the grout nozzle to accommodate narrow spaces between brick rows. The mortar mix had to be sloppy, as detailed in other reviews, to get the mortar to flow from the nozzle tip. Also, clean the gun barrel and plunger after two mixes otherwise it becomes difficult to get a free flow of mortar.

Tried using this tool whilst re-pointing our garden wall, but to be honest it does not matter how runny your mix is it still manages to get stuck. Ensure the barrel is well cleaned after every use. It seemed to work better when the barrel was pointing downwards but when you slightly raise the barrel I was having loads of difficulty, just kept getting blocked. Ensure your mortar has no stone chips in there, otherwise you will have problems. With me it just seem to get stuck more times than not. In the end I just had to go manually & re-point our wall otherwise I would still be there now.

Another builder I know had 1 of these never had any problems with it, mine how ever soon as I connected the rubber for a trial run it split the tube, sent an email never had a reply luckily I had bits of another gun so I never sent it back, either Tube was to small or rubber to big?????
