How do i calibrate this esc when i first turn it on?

We highly recommend doing a "Throttle Range Calibration" Procedure. In brief, the procedure lets the ESC know exactly where the max and min throttle positions are, so there is not a dead spot at the top or bottom end of the throttle. Our online user guide (see the product descriptions for the link) has detailed instructions and a video on how to do the procedure. In summary, all you need to do is power on the ESC in the full throttle position, wait a few seconds until you hear a few short beeps, put the throttle in the minimum throttle position, wait for another beep, and power of everything.

Is it able to do forward and reverse ?

This ESC cannot be reversed as would be used to back up an RC car. But by switching two of the three motor wires manually, you can reverse the direction of the motor. This is useful only in RC airplanes where you might use a pusher propeller configuration or for counter rotating propellers.

Will this esc work in rc trucks?

Its not ideal for RCs as it has no reverse, no proportional braking (only 0 or 100%), and will cause cogging with some motors.
