I see conflicting answers. Is it or is it not a pump?

Originally, about 2 years ago, the pump was available, but I haven't been able to order it since. Currently the aerosol "mist" is what I get and that's okay. Looking at the Amazon pictures I think the pump has a smaller plastic cap and the mist a larger-full sized one. Last time I ordered the pump I waited several months and never did get it.

Can you spray this on dry hair?

I spray it on my dry hair all the time, works great!

I would put it in a zip lock bag and send it back as I do any other item I'm not happy with. They have stores that accept returns easily. Go on Amazon's website. Click on RETURNS and it will explain how to return each item and where to take it.

Do you have to wash it out after using?

No, it doesn’t make your hair stiff. It doesn’t feel any different after you brush through your hair. No need to wash out until you are ready.

Great spray for fine hair...

Great spray for adding volume to fine, layered hair. Scent is not overpowering. Just prepare yourself at first for a learning curve with the force and volume of spray that blasts out and blows your do around. After a few tries you'll learn to adjust pressure for the velocity. It is a bit drying, but what hairspray isn't. Product amount and price point is excellent. Overall, I'm very pleased.

It's The Best

Nexus Maximum Hold Finishing Hair Spray is my favorite hair spray. I've tried some others, but I always come back to this one. I'm never changing again! The aerosol spray puts out a dry finish net. No stickiness. The sprayer is consistently good to the very last spray of the can. No nozzle cleaning. The scent is barely noticeable and does not linger. I've been pleased with how well it keeps a style in place in humid conditions. Also does not dull your shine or create a stiff set. Helps maintain your style overnight. The can is a substantial size and lasts quite a while. I've put it on Subscribe and Save. I think it's really worth the money.

Different, unpleasant smell and nozzle stops working

I have been using this product for years and loved it but the last 4-6 months I've noticed a very different unpleasant smell with it and 3 of the last 4 I received have had the same issues others have reported where it sprays just fine for one or two uses then it won't spray any longer. With two different cans I have, if I leave them for a couple days and don't use them, then they work again for a couple more uses. I'm not sure if the company has changed their nozzle but this has happened with cans that I've purchased not only through Amazon but at regular retailors. Very frustrating.

No where near as good, but 2nd best to Aqua net.

Nothing compares to the super strong hold and great smell of the Aqua Net from the 1980s. I have about 12 full bottles from, sally beauty, Walmart, and safeway that i collected trying to find a hairspray that actually holds at all. This one is the winner.
