Very easy to understand for kids

I got this book to read to a group of kids based on the preview pics. It's a great book with easy explanations, but the experiments every few pages throw off the flow. I wish the seller would have mentioned these in the description.

Book is very colorful and engaging for students

This is the best book we could have purchased on states of matter for our homeschool classroom. It has easy experiments for each state of matter. I am very pleased.

I bought this book for my third grader to supplement his chemistry course. I wanted a simple, informational book with a basic introduction of solids, liquids, and gases, to enable him to practice reading and comprehension relative to a subject he was already studying. The informational pages about these topics were simple as hoped, but every other page is an activity/demonstration of the concept introduced. This is good as a teacher's resource, but not as a child's independent read since they will be reading instructions every other page. This format might be ideal if it was part of a teacher's planned curriculum (except that it is written, actually, to students), but as my curriculum was already planned, and we had already done most of the demos in this book, and I was looking for a supplement to our studies, this was, as mentioned, not what I expected.

Great book to use with Interactive Read Alouds in our school district that matches our Science Standards in TN.

I love books like this. they are fun to go through and I like trying the activities. you may not be able to do everything as you would like to but I think it's a good intro to scientific concepts and understanding how things work

Great for our science topic. Used with y3 children, covered all the important information.

Absolutely perfect for younger children. Simple but essential writing and brilliant experiments.
